I saw DoS today! It was awesome, but there were some parts that frustrated me.. D: And they changed a whole lot. I did like the extra Bard, though. In the book, he's just some random guy that pops in to, well, you know. I don't want to spoil. xD Smaug was epic, and I loved the conversation between him and Bilbo.

I'm a little nervous about a few things.
I'm scared of fire, and seeing burned things scares me.
I'm thinking there might be a lot of stuff like that in this movie.
Someone said Thranduil's face is burned, and I think they'll probably show that burned city. Just for a reference, I'm scared of the house part at the beginning of the Unfortunate Events movie, and seeing the burned guy in one of the recent Batman movies also really scared me. I'm worried that stuff in this movie will be even worse.

@Amy, yes, Thranduil's face is burned. Quite the horrific wound, too. 0_0I saw DoS
I saw DoSI SAW THE FREAKING DOS
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEIT WAS LIKE, THE MOST AWESOME THING EVER. ALL THE BATTLE SCENES AND SMAUG AND LAKETOWN AND EREBOR AND OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS
now excuse me while I rant about what I like/dislike about the movie (may contain spoilers, if you don't want to be spoiled please don't read the small text
overall, an excellent movie. It was rather choppy at the beginning - the scenes at Beorn's house and the wandering in Mirkwood seemed particularly short - but it filled out beautifully towards the end, during the chapters 'Barrels out of Bound' and the Laketown sequences. It didn't follow the book's plot by this point, but it stayed relatively true to the books and everyone, in my opinion, was beautifully in character (save for the rather awkward scenes between Kíli and Tauriel...)
And I must admit, Tauriel isn't all that bad. The apparent crush that Legolas has on her is barely noticeable, unless you squinted really hard like me. The only things I didn't really like was the pairing of Kíli/Tauriel, as I said before. I mean, Kíli reciting love poetry? Um...
I mean, I see what PJ was implying, but non-canonical shipping is not quite my game.
well, I haven't seen TABA yet, so I can't exactly judge yet.
Some little add-ons that PJ did were especially awesome; I don't want to overly spell it out, but let's just say that I feel really sorry for Kíli, and am also rather worried about Legolas; he looked like he was about to faint in that last scene with him.
Kay, done my ranting.

Okay, I read all the posts. I think the movie was freaking amazballs, and yeah. I am really happy with all the graphics. When Bilbo was up in the tree and all the leaves and butterflies and AH! It was all so beautiful xD I felt bad for legolas in DoS but I really like Tauriel and Kili together. At first I was like 'oh my god-no' and then I was like 'awwwww'. XD
