What is is?

Basically think of this as a massive art trade hub. Each person comments with a reference of the character you'd like to have drawn, then you draw the character mentioned before you and, in return, the next person draws yours!

Obviously, quality art is not immediate. You have a maximum time limit of 2 weeks, or 14 days, to fulfill your part. If you don't, you may be banned temporarily from the thread, and the person after you will be told they don't have to draw your char.

How does it work?

-Draw the character above you within 14 days time
-UPDATE your post with the finished version when done (max of 14 days)
-Leave a reference of your own char for the next person to draw!

-USE THE FORM TO CLAIM. Please ;u;
-Draw the character directly above you and provide a legible, easy to interpret, reference for the next person under you to draw.
-You must FINISH your art from a previous claim before posting again.
-EDIT your post with the finished art piece so that we can see you completed it on time.
-You have 14 days to complete your art. No exceptions.
-You must OWN the character you are posting for art of; Requesting gift art is fine.
-No tryout art for the time being.
-You can follow what a user requests (full body, head shot, etc.) but you don't always have to.
-Accept and take a claim ONLY if you know you can do it or it is in your area of expertise.
-Art must be of reasonable quality, as determined by thread staff, in comparison to what you are capable of.
-Art must be above 300x300 pixels if it is normal art, HOWEVER. If you are a pixelist/iconist and you can only draw pixels etc. you are free to make something above the size of 60x60 pixels as long as it is made with a binary/pixel tool.

-You may make small requests on what you want however ask for only what you think you can do yourself.

[Sub-Rules]
Further elaboration, only read if you're confused.

-Only claim a character if you can properly draw them. That means they have to look like the species (i.e. a mako has a shark tail, plumes have ear/butt feathers) and all markings must be attempted at. Art doesn't have to be perfect, but don't do a half-baked job on either.
-Users may only claim another post after TWO FORMS are posted after you. This is to prevent spamming.
-If you are PM'd your art personally by an artist, please say thank you. Otherwise it's your choice to thank them or not if it was not messaged. Common courtesy and all.
-Unless otherwise noted, your art must be fully colored and complete (background optional). This just means no half-colored, half-finished scribble. They must all be made on unique lines.
-Must have clear usage of layers (no fill bucket tool)
-Traditional art is acceptable so long as the colors are still present in a BW scale (not just lineart).
-Traditional art must be photographed neatly and in quality. Scanning preferred, but if with a camera, center the camera perfectly above the image.
-FREE. No payment expected or asked for. What you get in return is art.
-Keep conversations in PM rather than commenting on here.
-Do not mark the thread.
-You may only use other's lineart with their permission and with proper reference (tracing and/or editables).
-While claiming is fine, you must have the reference up within 10 minutes of your post. Other uses have the right to supersede your claim if you do not get the reference up in time (take the claim from you, basically skip you)
-Art must be recognizable as the user's character, involving both species and markings. This is up to the thread staff to judge.
[Straight to Ban]

-If you do not finish your art in 14 days, you will be PM'd by staff and given a TWO DAY extension to finish your art. After that, you will be banned without further warning until your art is completed by you or someone who does it in your place.
[Random Rules Reminder]

Every so often I or another staff member may comment with a Random Rules Reminder to make sure people see and know what they are. This most likely has nothing to do with recent posts and no one is in trouble.

Page Moderators

In regards to the movement of the thread, I've finally decided to follow through with an old idea for "Page Moderators".

Moderators They will be responsible for moderating each page, including but not limited to: Making sure no banned users post (if a user who is banned tries to post, contact me of it; contact the person after them to skip them; and contact the user in question), making sure users follow the quality/requests rules, making sure they use an owned character, etc. Just make sure everyone who posts on those pages follows the rules.

If a violation is found on a page that can be immediately checked (e.g. banned, not owning character, etc), the moderator will be held slightly accountable for not reporting it. If a violation is found that can't be immediately checked (e.g. overdue art), I am not so much worried, as I am not so much concerned about making mods go back and check every page for the past week.

There can be multiple Page Moderators for a page.
