Well, you've decided you want some new art to show off your character. However, you're a bit short on cash at the moment so you resigned yourself to window shopping. Now it's late and all the stores are closing. It's cold and you're on your way home as you spot a small doorway hidden in an alley way. You shuffle over to it and read:

bARTer here!

The place looks kinda sketchy, but you shrug and think what the heck. You push open the door. A bell tinkles as you walk into a dimly lit room, and you stop so your eyes can adjust to the new lighting. After a few moments you can make out several framed images along the walls, and many more on display in cases. You walk up to one of the pictures and reach out to touch it- "Ahem! Please do not touch the merchandise! Thank you!" Shocked, you stumble backwards. Standing next to you is a young shewolf. "May I help you?" she asks.

"How much does your art cost?"
"May I see some examples?"
"What is your store policy?"
"I'd like to place an order..."
"I'm here to pick up an order..."
"I lost my piece, may I view your archive?"
"Nevermind..."

The shewolf smiles. "Pricing. That's what everyone wants to know first. Well here at our shop we have no set prices: we barter!" She points to a large sign posted right beside the front door:

The Art of Barter was created with the vision of being able to offer custom art to every CSian that desires it. As a result, our policy is that you can choose what you want to pay. You may offer us whatever you feel is appropriate as payment, as long as at least one pet or item is on our wishlist. If you do not have a wishlist pet or item, just send us a message so we can make a deal.

"We may sometimes have special offers posted on the bulletin board right over there too," she says gesturing towards the wall right beside you. "Go ahead and take a look."

Permanent Offer
If you choose to pay with a very rare or above on our wishlist, you're added to our LightList. This means that you are entitled to one free piece of art from us whenever we're open! Paying with our current dreamie will also add you to that list.

Monthly Offer
Paying with one of the following store pets from this month with guarantee you three pieces of custom art!

We will message you to determine further details about the trade.

"Very well. Let me show you what we can do." The shewolf walks into what appears to be a storage room behind the checkout counter. Craning your neck you can just barely see shelves of what looks like finished pieces of art. She picks a selection and walks back to the desk with a pile. "These are a few examples of what we can offer. If you're interested in seeing more, there's plenty available in the gallery that you passed on the way in. We are willing to try anything. I'll leave you to browse for a bit." The shewolf walks off to yet another room off to the side. You shrug and start to sort through the artwork in front of you.

The shewolf turns and starts to walk towards the back of the room. "Great! This way please." As you follow her you pass many more rows of pictures on display and finally arrive at a desk. It's covered with neat piles of paperwork. "Before any thing else you're going to have to take a look at our policy." She hands you a sheet of paper:

The Art of Barter Store Policy

1. You may offer me payment before or after you have seen the finished piece. If you choose to send it before then you're set to go. If you choose to send it after, I will keep a watermark on the image until the trade is sent.

2. You may only order one piece at a time unless otherwise stated in one of our special offers. PM me about private commissions for larger quantities of art (for character contests, etc.)

3. If you do not have wishlist pets, PM me about payment. I want you to be able to get art.

4. If there is an upcoming deadline you must have the art by please let me know. I prefer to have a week's notice.

5. I will do try-out art, but if you lose the art must go to the winner and I have the right to make linearts from the pieces and other similar modifications.

6. Unless you ask otherwise, I have the right to use any images I produce as examples.

7. Please give me time to complete the orders. They can be done anywhere between a few hours and a week. If a week has passed and you have not received your art, feel free to PM me about it.

8. If you are dissatisfied with the result I will edit the image to my abilities if you PM me.

9. Do not spam this thread. Please keep chatting to a minimum and refrain from minimodding.

10. You may crop excess space and resize my art, but otherwise do not tamper with the image (e.g. remove my signature)

11. The art is free for you to use where and how you wish as long as I am credited.
