Dear God, I wish this was posted on Gaia Online. I've been flamed out over there for casually mentioning that just because I send an artist a fair hefty trade (hundreds of thousands in some cases), I feel like they have some kind of obligation to actually do the artwork I'm paying them for. Keeping me in the loop, or even giving me a three-word status update when I ask for one, is obviously far too much to ask.

I don't know much about the Gaia art market (I stay out of it, personally) but feel free to carry over some tips from here to there. :3

I think my art shop is fairly well set up, for the most part. I have examples of all of my mediums, clear payment options, rules, slots, and forms. But I'm not sure if it's as easy to navigate as some others- being all on the same post.
