backing this up, i also think 400 c$ or even more is fine ^^ you can also have equivalent pet values as an option if you want to offer more than one way to pay or allow mixed payment- i’m very familiar with high value trading so if you’d like to know anything about pet <-> c$ values i’d be more than glad to help out!

like kitten said you might lose some market the higher you go but you shouldn’t need to feel pressured to undersell yourself, especially because your art is fantastic and has a lot of skill behind it. i absolutely adore the artwork i just received from you and i wouldn’t mind paying 400+ c$ for another !!!

i personally can't afford the price at the moment, but i think that 400 or more c$ is a good price!! if i had it, i would definitely pay around that to get art from you <3 a lot of people don't have c$ though, so if you wanted more business, i'd also suggest possible mixed pet payments, like lycosa had mentioned! it might bring you more business, but only sell for what you're interested in. underselling/receiving a payment you don't really want is just no good overall, and it can be super discouraging.

agreed with lycosa and yaksha!! while you may lose some potential customers, youll probably gain loyal ones as you go on. honestly maybe 375c$ would be a good "starting point!" that way its equiv to about $20 so its easyish to get and like i said you can always price up for details and such!!

oh i did a similar commission before! (humanizing a FR dragon into human to be exact aksjda)
what i charged then was double the price since i have to go through the character design procedure first (making multiple concepts before settling with one) before drawing out the actual art!) but ofc this is discussable, if its something fairly simple i can def give you a lower quote or so..?
