Shy but outgoing, quirky, and carefree. Erika, like anyone else, has fears, worries, and doubts at times. But despite this, she always wears a friendly smile upon her face, even if she is feeling depressed. Kind and caring, Erika worries and cares about others, but because of her shyness. She is afraid at times to admit her true feelings to others, in fear of that, they will not accepted her for who she is.

Erika was always an quirky shima, even since she was born, she never seemed to like the same things as other shimas. While other shimas found winter, and the snow that came with it, to be unforgiving season of hardship. She, on the other hand, was fascinated by snow, and everything to do with it. While the rest of her tribe was worried about, finding enough for everyone to eat. She loved to chase after the snowflakes, as they fell to the ground, and roll around in, the powdery upper layer of snow, making herself coated and caked with snow. She loved to do this, but she would always feel the judging looks of the older shimas, as they though she was too immature to handle any real hard work, just because she was being a kid. She was younger then them, who were they to judge her for acting like a kid, when she was one? She though it wasn't fair. She was expected to act like an adult, when she wasn't even a year old? They had no reason to hold her to such high standards, when she wasn't even expected to hunt food for the rest of the tribe? This wasn't fair that they could do this to her. After the harsh winter, she was expected earlier then the others, to hunt like the adult shimas. She tried many many times to catch
