For Percy: He's a wanderer, so he doesn't have many close connections. Its mostly because he only talks when necessary, and shares the bare minimum of detail about himself, which kills any conversations people try to start. He's not rude about it, just shy and hates being the center of attention. Funnily enough, even though talking about the weather is generally seen as a bland topic, its how you get Percy talking more, since its something he pays close attention to!
For Jo: He's set in the medieval era, as the son of a rich noble. So he ends up thinking highly of himself and really caring about his appearance. He's still very friendly and social, though a bit arrogant during conversations. For his human form, he decided to wear that mask purely for aesthetic, since he looks cooler with it haha.
