I am thinking of opening a traditional Art Shop but I have one question.
Can there be a form which customers can fill out (If they want to), to sign-up for weekly/monthly art ahop newsletters that include special offers, updates, etc.

I have a question; ^^
Let's say, someone orders from you.
You complete that order, then ask them to please send the payment.
You give them time to get online, answer trades, etc.
They don't send the payment.
You wait another day or so, you PM them, and they ignore you.

What would you do?
Sounds like a stupid question, but I just had to ask this, since I've seen a couple situations that have turned out this way.
I checked the search function, I didn't find anything.
Who would you go to?
I know that Tess has her PM function turned off, so you couldn't PM her.
I had to come to you guys for help. . . <3

Talk to one of the Admin Assistants. I believe you can PM Nick too.

To keep it from happening again, don't even start working until they send the trade, accept it when you're done. I learned the hard way too, got scammed out of art twice.

Agreed with rainbow dash. I let my customers sent me the trade, ready to accept and i post their finished art piece in the accept message. If they refuse to sent me the trade, ready to accept, i deny their order.

And if i feel like a person will cancel their trade if i take too long, i accept the trade before delivering the art piece, explaining why, and when i'll deliver the art, and still hand them their art on time ^^.


(Sometimes i accept the trade once i start working and pm them the finished art piece after i finish. That works very nice as well.)

Yes, I make sure they send the payment first as well.
Sometimes my customers do forget, same goes for me.

What do you do if you order from an artshop, send the payment, give them time to work on the art and stuff, but days/weeks later they still haven't accepted or canceled the trade, or said they made your art.
And they have recently been online and aren't answering any of your PM's?


This is in the wrong thread, sorry about that.

Very good post though :D I a want to open an artshop, but I could never keep up with it >.> and nobody likes my art :C
