.:The Arbor Foxes:.

Arbor foxes is a breed of foxes that lives in areas with a lot of trees, rocks and cliffs, they love climbing and spend most times on heights. It's because this they got their name Arbor foxes, since Arbor in Latin means tree. They were simply called Tree foxes or Tree dogs when they fist were discovered in the 19th century before they got their permanent name.
The Arbor foxes have a lifespan of 13-14 years in the wilderness but can live up to 20-22 years in captivity, a healthy Arbor fox weighs around 7-18kg depending on gender, males being heavier. Males and females are about just as high by their shoulders, measuring around 41-55cm.
Their tail usually is around just as long as their body length but there are a few foxes documented having a bobtail or longer, less bushy tails, but these are very uncommon.
Arbor foxes have big ears, giving the excellent hearing, this is their biggest sense, the sense of smell and sigh is not as good but still on a higher level where sense of smell is the least best of the three.
They see very well during night, having eyes that reflects light and pupils that are highly sensitive.
Arbor foxes have strong, sharp teeth, made for eating hard fruits and roots or break the bones on smaller animals.
Their snouts aren't small and elegant but rather large, this helps them dig for roots and with more muscles they have powerful jaws.

To climb they use their very powerful claws and legs, their claws can withdraw just as cats so they won't get damaged whenever they're not climbing.
The foxes are very skillful moving around in the trees but are also very fast on the ground and in thick vegetation, but they are very bad swimmers and doesn't cross rivers unless their life depends on it.

They are easy animals to teach, being very intelligent creatures they find their ways around to communicate with you and other Arbor foxes, but still, they are animals much like dogs and go by instinct.
They require a lot of space, places to climb and a lot of exercise which makes them unfit for a life in a apartment.
Arbor foxes feed mostly on fruits, insects and eggs but can also be seen eating tasty roots or small animals, such as birds or squirrels, they manages to catch. They search for food in the trees but also looks for dropped fruit on the ground.
They spend a lot of their time climbing and feeding, only sleeping during the day when it's too hot for them to move around.

Arbor foxes are social animals but mostly live on their own in territories, mostly socializing with other Arbor foxes when it's mating season which occurs in the beginning of April-May each year. When finding a mate they usually stay together for the rest of their life but there are some that leave each others after some years. Female Arbor foxes gestation period last for about 50-60 days and the litter often contains 1-3 kits.

Sometimes a Arbor fox will appear here, looking for a new home and a master to keep company for as long as they are wished. Their names are already given and can't be changed unless you buy a name-tag in the items shop.
You have 4 days to fill in the form and post it.
Remember: The more detailed you write the bigger chance you have of getting the Arbor fox.
I will read through all the forms and decide who is the new master.
After getting your fox I suggest you save it yo your own image host so I won't overload my photobucket.

Not highest as in most pets, but in value for me and according to the rarities.
Easter '11 pets will be counted as uncommons due to the fact that they are common rares.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I breed my Arbor fox with someone elses?
A: In a way, yes but you're not able to fill in any form or ask me to do it.
I will ask you if you want to breed your fox with another so that I can create 1-2 new foxes to put up for adoption.

Q: Can I use the Arbor fox in other threads when writing for an adoptable?
A: If the thread says it's okay to use other animals then there's nothing stopping you, I don't mind the foxes being played out or used in a text for another adoptable.
