The Chicken Dollar Economy is absolutely busted.

I'm going to keep this brief. The current C$ value system makes absolutely no sense.

If '1 Non' = 2000C$, then why are 1MA's going for 400C$?

Lets say you trade your nontag for 2000C$, Great! Now to buy some new pets with your money!

Except. The most you can get back for your 1 Non value sale is .5 Nons in pets.

I'm not the only one to notice this right?

That’s not quite accurate. The most you can get back from your Non sale would be another pet at Non valuation. It is only when wanting to convert the Non to multiple high value pets (10 in the mentioned MA case) that you will find it doesn’t stack.

I do understand what you’re saying about the calculations when buying MAs in C$ but the reason for that is that there is value in bulk that is kept on the down low. If there was no value in bulk we’d see a large shift in high value trading where no one would want to trade down their high value pets unless they were really wanting the lower pets for their own collection.

To make the C$ stack the way you’re talking about without having Nons and higher end up worth an even more ridiculous amount of real life money (they have already doubled in the last few years) you would need to value MAs (and subsequently Nons) at their real rarity value rather than the measly 10% of a Non they have been assigned. True MAs (not the ones there by demand) are either OMGSR or ER on the cusp of OMGSR, just as Nons used to be VR. Therefore logically pure rarity wise Nons likely wouldn’t be worth more than 4, at a push 5 MAs (personally I doubt there’s even that much difference). While I personally think the old MAs are extremely undervalued in pet trades I can’t imagine most high value traders would be happy with a shift to Nons being worth just 4-5 MAs instead of the 10 they are used to so they’d probably just stop trading them down. Which would likely lead to people offering overpay to try to get them to trade down. Which would sadly possibly lead back to a system that undervalues MAs again.

That doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be revalued. There was a push during the last big rarity update to reevaluate pets worths and value them closer to their real rarity value. Unfortunately people panicked about the trading uncertainty with the rarities all over the place and instead of waiting for trading to naturally stabilise there was a rush to create new guides assigning arbitrary values. Hence the Non = 10 MA = 100 old rares system we now have. Unfortunately once an average demand pet has been assigned a set value on CS it is very rare for it to shift much without a lot of pushback.
