Something's up with the pound

Hello! I have been noticing a few very strange things related to the pound and wanted to get others input on the matter and see if anyone else has been having experiences similar to my own or if it's just me XD
Anyway I have recently I have noticed that there's times when I can't get a pet as it takes less than 2 minutes to clear out 700+ pets or it's 10 minutes chipping away at the batch of 400 commons left over. The opening of the pound resulted in the online users DOUBLING for the first two minutes. Like I know people set timers and such for when it opens but this drastic of a difference was shocking to say the least.
Have anyone else had strange experiences with the pound as of late?
Anyway, I hope this all made sense as it's currently 2AM here and I need to sleep now.

I've noticed this too, I think it's because of the discord bots that notify people when the pound is about to open

Yep, even though I just returned in late October, the pound openings have been getting more and more short. I've been losing interest in CS and miss the Pound by a few minutes, and surprise surprise it's all gone lol.
While the Lost & Found also underwent the same thing, sometimes my 3 hour limit will be up and the L&F will STILL be open (though with the tiny decoration pieces like konpeitos and icing and candles).

I have the same experience! Not to mention that the site becomes very laggy because of the large amount of users, but that's expected.

My and my gf both find that the pound opens for like 5-8 minutes , has 500-1000 at most pets
And closes so quick! The pets go so fast! Is nobody gifting the pound anymore?!

The lost and found seems to be going well which is why I’m confused, it’s been opening and staying open steadily

one thing I have been dealing with for a while is sometimes the pound will be opening for me and once I refresh after one second a message displays saying "the pound will open in (insert here number here) hours". It confuses me cause why would it be opening if its just gonna have me wait a certain number of hours even though it said it was opening, kinda makes me mad cause I get so excited and then it resets the timer
I can't tell if its a real issue many players like me and 2 of my friends have been having but any answer to this weird thing or "glitch" as my friend calls it would be helpful

CS needs to do something about this because I’m sick of people using bots for the pound, everything on my first page is gone within seconds, I’ll click one pet and get the notification that someone else took it, just to go back and see half are taken already?!

It's annoying but there's really nothing they can do. Even if they ban the use of these bots, you can't really tell whether someone's using it or not.

Anyway, I agree with the og post. When something from my first page is taken and I hit refresh, it's shocking to see that there are only 200 pets left over almost every time.

This has been happening to me as well! I managed to snag a friend this last opening, but that was waiting nine hours when it told me three initially, only to refresh after the three, and have it be like JOKES ON YOU and hit me six ;~;

I kinda wish they'd totally randomize the timing and either not show a countdown or drastically shorten it. Like 30 minutes.

Maybe put the Pound/L&F under a new tab and highlight it if they're open.

Obviously you'd only see it if you happened to be on right at that time.

Only a relatively small group of players benefit from the bots and therefore the Pound though, so maybe it would help.
