Ah I've have 16 active hoards x..x

and 8 of them are Christmas pets and to be honest that most likely expand a lot

Since Violet Night Hoard is done, now to move on to my next new ones and work on my current 2010 hoard

@goldlake, i'm also hoarding 2. and i've called it snow fawns? bit of a lazy name lol but 1. could be sweet hearts and 5. could be spring leaves??

also it might be just me, but is anyone else hoarding the advent pets a bit difficult? not a lot of people want to swap their advents for non-advent and i've run out of advent pets
i did complete an advent hoard the other day but i still have 3 or so other hoards to go ;^^

hoarding advent pets can be tough, yeah ;×; i try to pick up any i spot in the pound to use as fodder when possible. it gets a little easier to trade for advent pets once their rarities are known, alongside some good ol' fashioned persistance! i'm wishing you all the best luck with completing your hoards !!!!

Right now I'm by 12/20. I decided to keep the holiday hoards small :'D

All I want for Christmas

All outcomes. The goal is 20, so 4 of each. I try to sort them, so this will be my first hoard were I'm lookin after IDs :'D Someone does/did this to and can tell me if this is hard? Also: I pray to the CS Gods that I don't have to overpay for them.

Here's a question for you all: Why do you like hoarding?

I have a couple friends who don't get why I like hoarding,
and that got me thinking. Why do I even like hoarding?
Well, for once: I like the idea of rather than having
hundreds of different pets that I don't like, I have hundred
of one single pet design that i actually like. Another thing
is that I can set my own goals, something that is reasonable,
and whenever I finish a hoard I get a sense of completion
and accomplishment. I know that I don't have the time or
resources to collect every pet on CS, so even trying would
just throw me into an endless "never finished, never
completed, never satisfied" kinda thought process.
Also, it's nice to have a small wishlist.

Here's a question for you all: Why do you like hoarding?

I like the sense of achievement it gives me when I finish a hoard or reach a milestone for the unlimited ones.
I enjoy challenges. It feels so good when you finally reach the goal of a really big or difficult to trade for hoard. Which, I think, is definitely the leading cause for my rising number of big hoards compared to the standard 30-pet-hoards.
I'll sit there and think "wow, this is really pretty, I wonder if I can get 100". And then I get to look at the finished hoard and it makes me happy to see how the work paid off.

And that's not even mentioning how darn pretty many pets look as hoards.
Really showcases the beauty of their designs.
There's something about seeing a big number of the same pet/s together that makes them even more beautiful to me than they already are on their own.

I prefer it over collecting, personally, because I can focus fully on only the pets I like best, and don't have to trade for the ones I'm not interested in. Of course, there's always a middle ground of "collect, but only what you like", but hey... I simply happen to like having lots of the pets I like :D

Tl;dr it makes me feel accomplished and the pets are pretty to look at.
