What pet is this?

I'm a little confused at the moment. I have this pet in a trade:



His adoption date is 2009-10-13

I was looking through the archive, however, and found nothing like him for October 2009. I instead found him under JANUARY 2009. Since I sort my pets by month, I went into wth? mode XD Can anyone help clear this up for me? I still consider myself a newbie, so any help from an experienced player would be appreciated.

^ That dog is an old 2nd Gen - most of the old 2nd Gens were available on the front page for many months, so you'll see some of them with adoption dates ranging across almost a whole year. :3 Their date in the archive is the month they were first made available, but the Bobtail, Vixen, Vampire/Mismatch, Grey and Gears 2nd Gen litters were all available for a very long time.

The Gears 2nd Gen litter was the last one to stay up for several months, but I'm not sure when they were taken down. You'll see the same thing with some other pets, too, like the old butterfly wolves (sometimes called the 'frontpage butterfly wolves'), the regular Tess horses and the old Warrior cats - they were all available for many months. :3

Ok, So I got two tess horses, Its telling me there from 2008, So Can I have just some information, such as the name people call them and dates and rarity please.
