Today if my birthday and I think it's time to make a decision about my Gryphon Hoard.

I never thinked I would ever say this, but I'm thinking about finishing this hoard when I have 20 of them.
They are so beautyful, but getting them, even if I'm offering extrem overpay is nearly impossible.
Just frustating.

At the moment I own;

Tropical Gryphon ~ 7
Wood Gryphon ~ 5
Fire Gryphon ~ 5
Ice Gryphon ~ 2

What do you do if you see it's nearly impossible to get the pets you choosed for a hoard?

I know what I'm doing. I'm starting a Mini-Hoard of the new King Cheetah store pets ^-^!

This is absolutely amazing, I'll hoard 20 and then see what the other littermates look like. If they're all awesome I'll hoard 20 each, if I like this outcome the most then I'll hoard 50-100 of it

I never realized how hard List hoards are until now. No one seems to have any Dark Wood Dogs and the ones who do don't want to trade them away. (It seems no one wants to trade up to my higher tiered pets either *~*)

But I don't want to give up...

Any suggestions or help is highly appreciated

That sucks about the wood dogs, Musicals =^( Many pets before 2014 are proving difficult to find, so I can't imagine what looking for a list pet must be like! Perhaps you could try holding auctions for C$/Pets that are equal in worth and put in the wood dogs as auto wins? Not sure what kind of fodder that might take or how effective it would be, but it's an idea.

They're adorable but luckily for you, not my type of hoard pet =^P I have tons of extras in my trade groups if you want to swap outcomes/unknowns!

I've also officially started three new hoards today! I'd been debating for a while on two of them, but the cats just kind of drew me in earlier today. I'm a sucker for pets that remind me of things I like...no matter how remote the connection my brain makes is!

The first two goals are uncertain at the moment, so I may change them at some point down the road.

Yeah trading down the list is tough. Most people seem to want to get more for their pets not less as far as quantity. You'll have better luck trading a higher tier Advent in a straight swap as over pay than getting someone to give you two or three dark woods for that higher Advent. Even if it's worth that much.


And I've got over 160 pets in my unsorted hoards folder. I should really get in there and clean it out. Get them out into groups already.

Alright, so I'm starting another hoard for EDC - Electric Daisy Carnival - and I can't decide which owl goes best with their main themed owl. If you need to see more pictures just search up "EDC Owl" and you'll get many results!

I do have some higher advents and old '09/'08 quantity rares I could do direct swaps and/ or auction off. I'll get on that right away. The good news is that I already have two of them and I did decide on a goal. 17 may seem like a weird number but I feel like it fits with the names I picked out c:

Good to have a goal. Especially for a harder to find pet.

Most recently, I'd come across someone who had in their trade rules that a Wood Wing was one of their dream pets.
I hadn't any plans on parting with this guy but they seemed they'd really appreciate it and had a good bit of lower list and off list pets for trade so I gave it a shot. Figuring maybe I'd found an opportunity to turn him into a bunch of Dark Woods in the future.

They checked the fair trade thread. And were advised that, though the trade was fair, they shouldn't accept it because of the quantity.
So I just chalked it up to another of those mindsets and canceled. I wasn't huge on trading off my Wood Wing enough to potentially have to argue my point.

So, he remains in my Dark Wood hoard along with a couple of light wood dogs I'd accumulated over the years under special circumstances.

Which brings me to a question.

For those who hoard a particular outcome of a litter, do you find yourself with any oddballs who end up sneaking into your hoard for some reason or another?

For me, in my Dark Wood dog hoard, I have the one Wood wing and three Light Wood Dogs who I just can't part with. And now I'm also thinking I need to go find a couple of red wood dogs to put in there too just so I'm not discriminating against the rest of the litter.

I think the second owl is the most like the owl pictured. It matches with the blue/purple theme most even if the colors are a bit off and don't match exactly. But if you still can't decide, you could always hoard the whole litter! They're stunning and would look great together!

My dragon hoard hit 20 (well, 21) and I'm already itching to raise it from 30 to 40 >.<
Like please brain, I haven't even gotten to the first mark yet, stop trying to make me raise it!!!
