Okay I haven’t made a post since the otters grew, but two of them grew up!! And are as confusing as ever, what is with the broken columns floating in the sky?? Don’t get me wrong, the colors are so beautiful but the design is really confusing to me. It reminds me of that store item set with the broken columns from a few months ago. I really don’t get it, is it a reference to a song or a show or something??
I really like the other outcome, it has a lily pad!! I think I might have to put one with my “Koi Pond” otter hoard with the otters from February 2023, it would fit right in!! I love the flowers and the colors.
But what do these two outcomes have to do with each other?? They look nothing alike besides being in the same art style. Very perplexing.
I wonder how the last one will fit in with the theme, will it tie it all together somehow? Or will we have to wait until the artist tells us what’s up with them?

The pattern on the last ungrown otter I have makes me feel like their connection is classical design elements, if not Greco-Roman specifically. The columns are clearly Roman, but the pond could easily be Roman or from a Japanese zen garden. I think it'll become clear once we realize what exactly those epaulettes are- Spanish or Chinese roof tiles? Part of a Roman statue? The boards of a dock?

(My other idea is that it's just to do with elements, Water/Stone/Plants/Air, but that doesn't leave any room for predictions on the last one... and it looks like another water-plants-stone one again, so unless those are bird's wings and it's water-air-plants, it would be odd to break the pattern for just one outcome.)

I'm not a fan of rats, but I'm curious to see what they will start growing into.

I love the sketchy and ink blots on them. Wonder if they will be different stages of drawing and inking, or what.
