old trades that are good/bad in hindsight

I've been on CS since I was really young and I didn't quite understand rarity at the time. I'm an adult now, so when I look back at my old trades some are... whew.

I don't have any OMGSR pets anymore, but I would if I hadn't done this. And this trade made me so happy too! I feel like I am going to Scream. Firestar, you weren't worth it (and maybe I wouldn't care if I still had him, but I don't because I traded him away too omg)

While looking at these trades is rough, I can possibly see your logic in trading for the staff pets, as it seems it is really hard to obtain a complete collection. I missed the staff pets from 2013-2018 and I still haven't gotten a complete collection of those months. They may be low value rarity wise, but people who have them hang onto them and if they trade them, expect overpay or very rarely you may be lucky to find them in the pound and even more lucky yet if you can get one without it being snatched from under you.

So I guess I am saying is to take that in consideration and don't beat yourself too much over it. Yes it was a huge overpay, but you might not have been able to obtain those pets as quickly as you did if you hadn't overpayed for them.

I had forgotten about this trade (auction bid) until I stumbled back across it by chance - at the time it was quite the overpay, but certainly not by as wide of a margin as it is today. ^^;

I also distinctly remember that this trade was an overpay by nearly double the trading value at the time, which is a little wild to consider with the current market value of the involved pets:

Went to see how I got my Blackstar warrior cat. I feel a bit bad for my trading partner... I paid in only items. 2012. It was after a couple edits back and forth. They had originally wanted DIY Cake set items (but not the whole set). Was wise enough to say they were off limits (cause I still have them all). Additionally at one point they wanted the Nick Laptop which was also edited out. They really didn't get much of value...

Additionally, my Greystripe trade is another that I'm VERY HAPPY with looking back! 2011.
