Yay new thread!

Whenever I get a suggestion asking for my very rares and they want me to edit (nothing on their side) I can tell they don't have any pets I really want, and they know that but they are hopeful. Sigh

I'm there right now with my dogtag, so many people put a few good starting pets and then ask me to edit in whatever else I want...
and it turns out what they offered (that is usually rares and maybe a store VR) is the most valuable pets they have.
I feel bad, and torn, but at the same rate I've worked, wrangled, and haggled my way to my collection so I'm not willing to trade it off for a few rares...

Oy, I need to get back into running an adoption center or something so I can give, but not have to give up my "good" pets to feel like I'm helping.

Yeah it gets to the point where when I see I've got a trade and it says so and so is offering 43 pets and wants 1 pet from me I wish I could just cancel it without even going through the pain of looking, Because I know they're offering me a ton of random common crap off my wish (hoard) list and they want a very rare. Sometimes these trades even come punctuated with some lovely begging and my favorite "it's my Dreamie!!!!!!" line

I'll usually edit and take a look anyway just on the off chance they do have some random very special only in my own goofy mind pet that I'd be willing to trade off that very rare for. Then I feel bad because I want to help them out but just can't give up good trade fodder to every person who comes along. ):

Just got a trade (2 uncommons for a rare [unfair to me]) with this message included:

"Is this okay? I will do anything to make this trade possible! I will edit if needed! =)"

I hate desperate people. Begging won't help your case. If you really want something I have, try negotiating, not begging.

Were they COPPA'd? If so I'll bet it was the same kid who sent me a trade suggestion offering a Green Toxic as well. Since we can no longer see COPpAld members' pets' names, thereby taking away that small bit of communication with them, I had no idea what they wanted. I sent it back saying as much and told them to add i something from my open groups they wanted for it. They sent it back with my extra NonCoon . So I took a look at all of my Green Toxic worth extras and couldn't bring myself to part with any of them to someone who's got their precious Green Toxic in a group labeled "for any very rare or OMG so rare '08" I do feel bad for the poor unwanted Toxic though. ): So I canceled with a polite message. I soooo wish people would value their pets for their beauty or desigh or whatever instead of just shallowly for their rarity.
