How Do You Organize Your Pets?

I do it by species, then my trade groups by rarity

By year and month, and then at the bottom of my monthly collection groups are my hoard groups!!

Oh also, at the very very bottom are my trade groups organised by year cause I dont really know how else to do them hahha

I have... so many pet groups....

by species, lumping together any that are too small to justify their own group! (cats and lions get folded into 'felines', stuff like that)

my trade groups are by rarity

Mine's pretty disorganized, but I try to sort them by type of animal, events, and then my not for trade groups or special pets, then all my hoards and collections

But the thing is, I don’t care about a complete collection so I feel it doesn’t quite work for my wants.

i have my pets divided into two sections: showcase (aka pets i want to keep/collect) and trades, and they branch off into species i collect, miscellaneous favorites/pets that i want in their own group, and rarities for trading. i personally don't like having too many groups as it can get overwhelming

I use an alphabetic system to order my groups, EXCEPT for my favorites groups. I like to use 0's to keep them on top of my groupings. Then I use a year system for my personal collection. I find the year system is the most satisfying to look at. I have a large collection so having larger groups feels like I've accomplished more, I have a separate group for my pound pets all together. A favorite thing of mine is pound and lost and found openings, so I like to keep my pound collection in it's own group to look back on the awesome catches I've had. I also like to dress up EVERY pound pet that I get, so it doubles as a dress up group. I also don't trade any of my pound catches. After this I have sort of a "misc" category? Here is where I put my monthly adopts, current event pets, and a specific trade group that goes to my wife (AlishaIV). After this is where I put my trade groups. For me, separating my trades into four separate groups is what I find to be easiest. My experience with trading is usually people go off of wishlist anyway, so complex trading groups are more for the person with the trade groups than the trade partner. And lastly I have my hoard groups. Anywho, enjoy my color coded mess I made!

mine's a little messy. i organize them by species, but not by lineart. so, for example, if a pet with the cat lineart is designed to look like a fox, i will put it in with the fennec/malk foxes. i put "unique species" like penguins and gorillas in a shared group.
staff pets, pride pets and store pets get put in completely separate groups.

I just joined, but I organize mine by species, but I'm unsure if I'll organize event pets by event or species.

I used to sort the BWs, Dogs and cats by year but with more and more years going by, I started to get annoyed by the scrolling. So I just put all my Collections into species groups, based on the lineart the pet was created with. Malk Pets, Nick pets and the few equine lines are together in three groups.
I also have seperate groups for Store pets, High valued pets and some of my favourites. And three groups for regular, rare and store trades.
If you didn't know yet .. you can sort your groups with spaces. The more spaces you put in front of the group name, the higher it will be in the list. The spaces won't show up in the group name.
