Using the 2:1 method, this is technically fair as an UC of any year = 1 Rare from 2 years after it.
I personally don't recommend this trade, or trading 1 UC for 1 Rare in general, unless the uncommons are old. However, it is up to you, feel free to get another opinion!

I'm honestly inclined to agree, but I would like more input. I don't trade rares often, so I want to do so carefully.

For:
2 Fairy Rats = 2 MA (1 MA/ea)

It's a fair swap. My only advice is that store pets have much better demand than advent bunnies do unfortunately.

Their side is worth more but like Lex said it's up to you which pets you prefer. I will add, not a lot of people use rarity math when it comes to trading commons and uncommons, but do when trading rares, so I urge carefulness.

They're easily overpaying by a lot. 2021 rares are only worth an uncommon from 2020 a piece.

Those are store pets, this is inaccurate. I'm not sure the exact rarity math (maybe it was a 2012 rare for a 2021 store pet) but this is pretty close to fair, I'm not 100% sure

not fair, the malk skull cat is worth at minimum 150 C$ by itself and has gone for 350 C$. Add on the bunny and you have a very unfair offer.
