Alright, I'm pretty convinced that this pup is Lacuna's.



Lacuna's Hints:

-Not PPS
Can't tell for sure until it's grown/not grown, but I doubt it'll be one.

-Used all colors
Yep.

-I don't like the traditional smile. I'd probably never make a pet with it.
This little guy doesn't seem to have a normal smile to me. Kind of looks like the mouth of a dragon.

-2 x 4 = 8
Not totally sure about this hint, but it didgrow on day four? Take what you will from that, ha.

-My pup said he listened to some sick jamz and I called him a hipster because he played the records backwards.
jamz backwards spells out zmaj.

Looking at its design, it reminds me a little of their other staff pet as well. Simple yet unique design, small spots on different areas of the body, stripes on its legs, (sort of) edited tail. Lacuna, if you could claim or deny this pup that'd be wonderful! If you don't want to go all out, another hint will do. Wink wink.

Anyways, I would've put more effort into this but I'm on my mobile and it's difficult to do pretty much anything on here, so for that I apologize. Input would be appreciated!

such beauty such grace.. on another note it's been 9 days and my subtle hint has not been discovered.

She said she owned a cat, not a dog. Which staff pet looks more cat-like than all the others?

Minus the fish part, of course.

I suppose I can give a hint for mine this year. It will be similar in one or two ways to the cadet (and no it's not the design or theme). -ramps up those expectations- xD

What if the thing they have in common is that it will change drastically when it grows? *shrugs* Don't mind me, just throwing random guesses out there and trying to figure out what Vampy meant by "subtle hint."

I want to say the thing in common would be the edited tail or the way the orange is on the tips of the paws similar to the white tips on the cadet.

Let's see, unclaimed pups, here are my guesses, some I'm more confident about than others:
(Saikiyo) as I mentioned a while back, eyes could be teal green/green, could be related to the glow, as someone said, no long tail, base is orange, grew on day 7 (could have been said before the pets changed on CS time, or could mean it's not full grown yet), looks like C3PO, who is a a keeper :P Also, Saikiyo only has one of this pup as one of the hints that aren't recorded on the charts suggested
(Vampiric) because it looks a lot like her style, the shading, the clothing, the short fluffy tail (she's used fluffy tails since 2012) and floppy ears like Cadet's
(Yagmur) not as feminine because there's no long hair and a seal-ish look doesn't scream girly, but the way the tail was drawn so elegantly reminds me of Yagmur's first pet
(Bentley) shiny, wispy designs, name hanging around like a gnat...I know the doodles on the back look like a wing, but also like the trail of a mosquito, maybe? It could mean something
(Lacuna) uses all the palette, grew on day 8, it is clarified it will not be a PPS possibly because her previous pet was
(Berkshire) line edits, chenaanah (a son/2nd gen) will give father zedekiah iron horns, this pup looks like it could grow horns when grown up, does have line edits
(DoctorDraca) the creepy them, the stripey markings in common with old pets I linked to a few pages back, the sharp zigzag-y markings on the front legs and tail, the peculiar spotting on all of her staff pets
(Solloby) had grown by day 6, blue based, maybe it lives in the sky?
(Bernouli) as mentioned, Bernouli has a history of editing tails and keeping pups simple, on the pets of the two previous years she's basically removed the tail lineart altogether and either replaced it for a wispy tail or left it without a tail. It doesn't have to have a tail now, but it will when it grows up. Also orange/ginger like the hint would appear to indicate.
(Sketchi) has played with the "chickensmoothie.com" colours before. Sketchi lineart edits tend to look softer than the original lines.
(Chia) she's made several water/fish related puns, she's exposed her handwriting, she's talked about how she outdid herself with her pup while being thoroughly amused. All this playful comments leave no doubt for me.
