We already have a Jabberwok, it's from https://www.chickensmoothie.com/archive/2012/Store%20Pets/Butterfly%20wolf this store pet set. Might get confusing.

I like Tatsuya, depending on what Kanji are used, it means "sign of the dragon".
Though Bahamut would be an awesome name, too.

coz i downloaded the 1969 feb issue of the atom (from the invisible pic link) and it had the line:
"There was even speculation-could these be visitors from Mars? Have you seen a green light lately?"
which exactly fits the blanks in Shy's signature

my reasoning for these three:
antennae doggo- the eyes seem static-y (my most likely to be shys doggo guess lol )
astronaut doggo- clearly a space traveller
radioactive-ish doggo - green glow

so does any one have clues that can narrow it down further?
@Shy would you be willing to deny one from this guess?

Big post with a few guesses


In light with Shy’s hints being found I’m now thinking Shy’s is alien pup.
I had originally thought it was Sixbane’s, and I still think it could be but, I feel like they fit Shy’s hints as well and wanted to point it out. The whole snippet of “He was eager to learn, though. There was even speculation—could these be visitors from Mars? Have you seen a green light lately?” (Italics are the parts Shy blocked out.) The green lights might be referring to the green orbs that float around the pup and if you read the whole paragraph Shy hints at, it begins with: “Flying Green Lights Alert Constabulary Shades of flying saucers? Los Alamos now has flying green lights.” Yet another hint to the green orbs floating around the pup. Lastly, Shy’s hint about how the pup prefers winter could be a reference to how cold Mars is.

I think this one is Vampiric’s. I originally thought it was Yugi but then they declined it so I went digging.
Vampiric’s interests has this text “You won't hear a peep out of me “ and if you go into their staff dogs group you’ll notice some of the pups have speech bubbles. There are two pups that have speech bubbles that wouldn’t make a noise like the “:)” and the blank one. Now it could be “:)” pup but blank speech bubble pup makes more sense to me, especially if you look at some of Vampiric’s older staff pets. They have a similar freckle look and usually wear clothing of some sort.

I have not yet figured out how to decode the hints, I’m sorry Lacuna but I’m stupid. The farthest I got was taking only the bolded numbers (17422712), turning the ones into dashes and the twos into dots and converted those into letters using Morse (T74I7N), then took 747 and subtracted 731 and ended up with TIN16. What does that mean? I have no clue. I will however say that this hint: “You can definitely figure out some things looking at my past outcomes. This might even be one of them!” was perfect for my pea sized brain, thank you Lacuna.
Anyways, if you look at Lacuna’s 2019 dog, Jax, and compare the cheek marking to space dog, it matches pretty nicely. It also makes sense if you read Jax’s story, “…a vested interest in serving HORIZON--the High Orbit Response and Interstellar Zone Operations Network…” which could be a heavy hint at space dog for sure. A lot of the other hints line up as well but others have already pointed them out. I just haven’t seen anymore mention that so I wanted to bring it up.
@lotusmoon9 was the first to mention astronaut dog as Lacuna’s and @Jack Walten had mentioned that the shininess reminded them of Jax.
