Yeah I would have canceled that as well. If just for the simple reason that they demanded quite rudely that you edit. As if canceling was forbidden.
My whole problem with people telling me what to do again.

That can be so painful - especially after more than a couple instances. :(

My rant:
I've gotten to the point where I'm almost ready to start giving up pets I love just to have some rares list fodder. I'm having no luck trading up these few rares onto the list.
