Trade Rant Thread [v. 17] *new rule*

Just had a HORRIBLE experience.

User offered me non wishlist pets for C$. I didn't really want non wishlist but being nice I offered them 25 C$. They wanted 30 and I asked them what they wanted from the store. I said if it ran a little over 25 that was okay. They said fine, sent the suggestion back. I sent it back to them asking what they wanted. I never heard back from them. Eventually I canceled the trade. They then sent me a rude message containing offensive language (yes I reported them) because I canceled the trade. I replied back saying they refused to tell me what they wanted. So they sent me this reply "That is a silly reason! Not giving someone C$ because they couldnt figure out what they wanted, I was offering fair pets! That's ridiculous!"

Um, person. How am I supposed to give you C$ if you don't tell me what you want? I didn't really want your pets for my C$ anyway. I was being generous! What is ridiculous is the message they sent me. I gave you ample time to pick something from the store and send the trade back!

I once had someone that offered me a nice trade, but never sent the list. they cancelled because they said I wouldn't response.. sorry, but if you don't sent me the list? they got a little rude, but I wanted the pets. I waited again for the list... nothing >.<

I just finished another collection; this time, it's the guinea pigs.

Problem?

The only species collection I have completed are the easiest ones to complete. You know, guinea pig, fish (both beta and koi), owls, and spiders. And bats, but I still have one of those I need to obtain. But my point is, I feel so accomplished after I finish a species collection, but then when I think about it later on, I realize that I haven't actually come anywhere at all. I haven't really gotten any farther towards a complete collection. And at that point I decide to stop thinking about it because I was already beginning to get depressed when I first had the thought that I hadn't come any farther.

Pathetic, wee, little me.


Rant number 2: These store pets are impossible. I didn't want to start collecting store pets, EVER, but now that I am, it really is a horribly difficult thing to do. I traded some C$ for two extra faun dogs, and now I can't get rid of the last one left. All I want is a stormicorn, it's not like I'm asking for overpay. Horses are usually in less demand than dogs.

And this may or may not be suitable as a rant, but now that I'm collecting store pets, I find myself starting to have feelings for them. I stopped myself from making much of an opinion on store pets back before I started collecting them, but now that I am, I'm starting to make opinions on what I like and/or dislike about each of them. And, unfortunately for me, I find myself irresistibly drawn to the yellow punk, orange cerb, fall/orange forest guardian, and blue alien........

Until I realised they had foe'd me.
Out of curiosity, I had a look why, and it was only because I cancelled an overpay trade for the pet I was going to gift them.
I'm sorry, but just because you overpaid doesn't mean I have to accept. It was in a group that had the implication of sentimental value, and I was polite about the message.

Oh well, your loss, isn't it? (:
