Haven't you heard the news? It's "GIMME YOUR EARLY RARES FOR A PET THAT WON'T BE RARE ANYTIME SOON!" *rolls eyes* I only gave Rares for them because I wanted to and they were on my trading partners' wishlists.

Rant to self: Why must I keep gifting people ene"? My rare trade fodder is down to eight pets and my UC and lower pets are almost all from '11.
I tried building up good fodder by adopting pets from adoption centers, but heck, people say I'm greedy ;A;

Why people keep giving away my gifts, especially those that meant something to me? I sometimes gift people pets that I love, mostly when I think the person will give it a good home. If this happens again with one of the bigger gifts I've given, I'll be leaving. Seriously.

The butterdog is going to be rare, something more than a common rare even - and I think I've explained it a few times already. It upsets me when people go "ZOMG HOW CAN PEOPLE PAY 09 RARES FOR THAT UNCOMMON?!" and keep invalidly viewing it as just another one of these overvalued outcomes because it's not just one of these overvalued outcomes.
A '10 rare is going to be a massive underpay for it soon, it's only a matter of months.

@gifts discussion; I do not believe it's quite rational to get mad at others because they've traded your gifts away.
Isn't bringing happiness to others the purpose of gifting?
What if if it wasn't for that one advent you had gifted them they wouldn't have gotten a 'dream pet' they've been dying to get for months?
Or maybe they find trading valuable things more enjoyable than keeping them?
Food for thought.

I see your cents.However,it is not that that disturbs me,as i gift because i feel like it and to help people achieve something else,if i don't have that something.It is the fact that they get me into sob stories:

'Awh,well,i am sad,my dog died and it looked so much like the non....'

What happened to them?Auctioned.Thrown in bids.Thrown in a random trade group.
What happened to me?I set up to the thought that i will never be capable of getting anything because i am easily impressed.I mean,i know how the death of a pet feels like.Actually,the reason why i joined CS was because i saw the BMD,which looked so much like my previous dog,Tilly....I had no idea back then that people mercilessly use false sob stories to get gifts.So,of course,no one believed me,even when i provided them with photographic evidence.I worked hard for my BMD.I earned my pets.I was able to trade for it,but someone simply...gifted it to me....I was extatic.I have been offered an Apple,Black Advents and on the 18th,a toxic puppy for it.But...i couldn't.I simply couldn't.Knowing that a person gave up her almost complete 2008 collection to give me it.....I couldn't.
So i expected at least a locked group.It was a dreamie.....wasn't it?
I also wrote this a few pages back.That is my problem.I have been through that.I am easily impressed and thus easily fooled....

Even if it's a harder '12 Rare to get(assuming it's even Rare), it'll still be a '12 Rare so a '10 Rare isn't going to be massive underpay Unless it's one of those super common or Just-Turned Rare's that no one really wants like the '09 Drafts or the '11 Easter dogs

Just because SOME people are desperate enough to pay that much doesn't mean it's actually worth that much.

Not if they're gifting it away. Sure, they may do whatever they want with, but I feel it is common courtesy not to trade gifts.

My friend (in real life, not CS) just happened to know a bunch of people on CS and she just happened to tell them how my cat nearly died on Easter.
And those people just happened to add me on Skype, Facebook, ect. and beg for my pets.
The most amusing message:
