I think it's interesting how we suddenly get a lot more stories for these staff dogs.
Sure, we usually got some explanations for inspiration or what a certain pet was based off, but I can't remember hearing so many actual stories for a staff litter before.
Maybe Lilian's tendency to come up with pet stories has caught on

Tulvir was now the last of his kind. With the age of dragons finally over, he found himself roaming quietly across the lands with nothing but his satchel and a little white bird that had started to follow him only a couple months ago. It was enough company for him, but nothing like the age of dragons. What had happened to his family? His mother, who had protected him for so long, only to disappear without a trace. And what of the Great Elder, a dragon who had taught him everything he knew of the human world? Had the humans been the ones to cause this?
Whatever it was, he knew that his kind was almost extinct. Perhaps it was the idea that all dragons were killers. Tulvir never wanted to hurt anybody; he enjoyed seeing the wonders of life on the planet. There were days where he found himself watching the little white bird follow him, yet never saying anything. Whenever he stopped to make camp the bird was there, perching on his family's crest that he carried with him. What had caused the little bird to follow him?
One day, the bird did not appear. In its place were two spiders, dangling over him with their eight long legs. Tulvir bolted up from where he lay and hid among the bushes, seeing spiderwebs wherever he went. The bird had vanished, and he could only think of the worst. He crouched and wrapped his wings around him, thinking that they were the only things that could protect him. He was terrified; the one bit of company he had was replaced with what he believed were predators.
And the only thing Tulvir could do was cower and cry silently to himself. There was nothing that could be done but hide.
Told you he had a fear of spiders. ;D
or it could be that the same thing happened with spiders- everybody thinks they are awful creatures only intending to hurt people so they killed them- just like the humans think dragons are going to hurt people are then they kill them- maybe the spiders were all killed off except the two little ones and they thought they finally found a friend- tulvir. and the little bird went off to find food for the loner party ;3;

'Cause he is afraid of spiders
Tulvir grows up to be a fierce dragon who vows to eradicate the species that made his childhood self tremble in fear.
In an ultimate final battle, he faces the Spider Queen. They think it will be a battle to the death, but in the midst of the fight come to realize that violence has never solved anything, and that Tulvir is about to do to the spiders what he always feared they would do to him.
He and Spider Queen have an educational conversation about dragons and spiders and make peace.
Now for someone with more eloquence to actually write it :'D

Ooops... I guess I started a thing? ^^'
But well, I usually can come up with a base story concept with a snap of fingers, I'll see what I can do for Selkine until her big day comes.
~
The lone wanderer. So tired, so miserable.
All but a mere shadow of an once vibrant soul.
Cursed by fate, burdened by sorrow.
Sentenced to a life of nothing but loneliness...
It looks like not everyone deserves a happy ending, after all.

I think it would be awsome if for the next (2015) staff litter the newborns look like they are all gonna be the same color combinations but for the pup stage they make them any color the participants want
That ruins the point of the staff litter. The point is that the only limitations the staff are given are to use the dog lineart as a base and to stick by the color palette chosen for that litter. If I remember correctly, the staff even vote on the color palette each year. It causes them to have to be creative with that specific color palette and that's what I find so amazing about it, seeing the different designs that each staff member comes up with based on a few colors. It really wouldn't be the same if the staff members were able to use any colors they want.

This is correct. We vote on palettes. If we didn't use the same palette, it wouldn't be a staff litter. :) The only thing we're allowed to change is the eye colour, and then we can edit.

I think everyone who follows this thread closely throughout the year could think that xD
I definitely want to see at least a drabble on Selkine, that would definitely be awesome though. I could definitely see more staff on this in future threads explaining their pets or writing little stories for each of their pets, that would be really awesome.
