Iakov xx Nikita

" And the feel of it rushes through me
From my heart down to my legs
But the room is so quiet, oh oh oh
And although I wasn't losing my mind
It was a call that was so sublime
But the room is so quiet, oh oh oh "
Do you remember when we were younger? We'd play dress up, I always loved to play dress up with you, Iakov.
You were the king; I was whatever I wanted to be.
But you were always the king.
The king falls the hardest, my dearest Iakov.
What a fool.

[
Captain of the airship Willow Withe]
&& [
his former first mate]
[
male && male]
"My, my. How long has it been?"
"Too long, captain. Much too long."
"Captain, eh? You haven't called me that since-"
"Since I left. I remember."
"As I recall, left is far too kind a term for it."
"Yes."
"Well, it's... it's good to see you."
"...Yes."
"And, well, I just want to say..."
"Captain?"
"I'm sorry about your eye. And... and your exile. It was wrong of me to force you off of the airship."
"There's no need to apologize, captain. That was years ago."
"Please. Stop calling me captain. You're not part of my crew."
"I understand, cap- sir."
"..."
"..."
"But, I mean, you could be. If you wanted to. That's why I'm on land; my first mate died of the fever."
"I should think skypirates would be lining up to fill the spot. You've gained quite a reputation."
"And there's the problem. They think the position is cursed. I mean, first you, and now this..."
"..."
"..."
"Well, cursed or not, I'd be honored to sail with you again. Captain."

Going Back to the corner where I first saw you
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag I'm not gonna move
Got some words on cardboard, got your picture in my hand
Saying, "If you see this girl can you tell her where I am? "
Some try to hand me money, they don't understand
I'm not broke I'm just a broken hearted man
I know it makes no sense but what else can I do
How can I move on when I'm still in love with you
'Cause if one day you wake up and find that you're missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinkin maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet
And you'll see me waiting for you on the corner of the street
So I'm not moving, I'm not moving

Policeman says, "Son you can't stay here"
I said, "There's someone I'm waiting for if it's a day, a month, a year"
Gotta stand my ground even if it rains or snows
If she changes her mind this is the first place she will go
'Cause If one day you wake up and find that you're missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinking maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet
And you'll see me waiting for you on our corner of the street
So I'm not moving, I'm not moving,
I'm not moving, I'm not moving
People talk about the guy that's waiting on a girl
There are no holes in his shoes but a big hole in his world
Maybe I'll get famous as the man who can't be moved
Maybe you won't mean to but you'll see me on the news
And you'll come running to the corner
'Cause you'll know it's just for you
I'm the man who can't be moved...I love this song 8D

Sammek xXx RosalineRosaline stood perfectly still as her father yelled at her again.
"You need to stop this, Rosy!" He screamed, shaking the piece of paper
at her that held her grades. "First it's those boys! Then the police bring
you home from a wild party! Now your grades are dropping! Whatever
happened to your dreams of being a doctor! Weren't you the one that
got me to stop smoking? Why are you letting all your dreams die!"
He cut off. At some point death and dying had been just a part of life.
However when Rosaline's mother had died after a hazardous surgery
that was supposed to save her life the year before, anything to do with
passing on became a taboo in her home. A few months ago, she and her
father would have suddenly hugged each other at any mention of death
and shared in their grief.
Now Rosaline stared hard eyed at her father. She didn't let herself cry
anymore. Too much had happened.
"Is that all Dad?" She asked, her tone sharp and impatient.
Her father stared at her, stricken, then sighed and let his eyes drop from
her's. "I-I just worry about you..."
"Great, that makes someone. Can I go now?"
Her father shrugged. "Just... be safe. Please?"
"Yeah. Whatever." Rosaline said, snatching up her bag and speeding out
the door before her father's guilt wore off enough for him to remember to
punish her. She heard her cat mewling plaintively behind her, but she
ignored him this time. After all, she had a party to get to.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Isn't this a great party?" Marissa asked, bouncing up beside Rosaline.
Marissa was one of Rosaline's "new" friends. She was a partier and had a
way of talking Rosaline into things, but at least she hadn't been there when
she had tried to tell people what Rufus had done to her. Her old friends had
refused to believe her and "dumped" her as a friend when she just wanted
to stay away from Rufus. They had thought she just didn't want to go to his
next party with them and was making up a huge lie for an excuse and for the
attention. Rosaline hadn't bothered trying to tell anyone else after that.
Especially not her new friends for fear of losing them. Rufus was too popular
for anyone to believe her anyways.
Now she was at another party. Not one of his, but the guys here eyed her in
the same way. Rufus had bragged about it she guessed. Well, at least he had
to the guys because ever since pretty much every guy Rufus talked to had been
eyeing her at parties. Some even risked a grab now and then. Some even
succeeded. Like just now. Someone had grabbed her behind.
Rosaline sighed. She grabbed a beer her friend offered her and took a deep
swig to try and help her ignore any more uninvited touches.
"Yeah." She finally managed after taking a deep swig. "Great."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
About an hour later Rosaline was thoroughly drunk. She could barely walk straight
to get into the kitchen where she downed some snacks to try and disperse some
of the alcohol she had ingested. She considered trying to make herself throw up
in the bathroom, but decided against it. She hated the way beer tasted enough
when it went down. She didn't feel like braving it coming up.
As she nibbled on some crackers she caught someone staring at her out of the
corner of her eye. When she looked up, she saw that it was the last person
she wanted to see.
Rufus.
Swallowing what was in her mouth, Rosaline tried to make a B-line for the back
door, but with her feet tripping up from her intoxicated status, she began to fall
instead. Someone caught her and she looked up to see Rufus's crocodile grin.
"Hey, babe. Falling for me again already?" He asked, pulling her up into his arms,
holding her tightly against him.
"Not a chance, Rufus!" She said, pushing against his embrace, trying to get away.
"Aw, come on, sweet cheeks," He said drawing her in even closer. "I know you
liked last time. Why don't we go for another spin?"
"No!" Rosaline yelled. It didn't matter though, her cry of protest was lost among
the music and the people already shouting to be heard over it.
"Come on. I know a room here that is empty. Don't worry, Max won't min-"
Suddenly, something bright and shimmery appeared and hit Rufus on the head. It
disappeared in the next instance, but it surprised Rufus enough to were his grip
was loosened and Rosaline was able to escape. She bolted out the back door, hitting
her shoulder against the frame in her drunken haste, and making her fall down the
back porch stairs. Rosaline scrambled back to her feet though and made her way
to her car.
As she clawed at her car door she heard a shout behind her. She didn't turn to see
who it was, she already knew. It was Rufus trying to catch her, she was sure. As
she finally got the key into the lock and turned it she felt someone coming up behind
her. Opening her door with all her might she threw herself into the front seat,
slammed the door behind her, and shoved her key into the ignition. She had time to
register out of the corner of her eye that the person who had chased her was not Rufus
while her car started up, but once it was revved, she slammed on the gas, Rufus or no.
Rosaline raced down the streets, wanting nothing more than to be as far away from
Rufus as possible. Her vision, already blurred by the beer, was becoming almost
non-existent from tears and her ears were full of nothing but her own sobs of fear
and hysteria.
She had been telling herself not to cry! No crying over her mother. No crying over her
so called friends. No crying over what she had lost to Rufus. No crying over anything.
But now she was crying, want to or no.
Now she could not stop the tears or the sobs.
She could hear no-one and she could see nothing.
She couldn't hear the train horn blow, or see the rail-road crossing bars coming down.
She could not save herself.
But she could feel the hand on her shoulder.
And feel the wheel in her hand turning against her own hold on it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sammek sat beside Rosaline waiting for her to awaken. He lifted her head to his lap
and wrapped his arms and wings around her broken and mangled body.
It could have been a lot worse, he knew. If he had not grabbed the steering wheel
at that last moment, she would have driven straight into the train and would have
been dead in an instant. As it was he had driven her into a lamp post instead. But
at 65 MPH, a light pole was almost as mad as a train.
She had not been wearing her seat-belt, and when she flew from the car, he had
flown with her, though of his own accord instead of inertia's. He was not subject
to such simple laws as those of what her kind called physics. His laws were much
simpler. Love & Protect.
And I almost failed. He thought, clenching his fists angrily. It was not in his
nature to fail, nor was it in his nature to cry, but he could feel pain and remorse
like any other being, and the pain he felt for her was great, the remorse, almost
unbearable.
When Rosaline's eyes opened, she sat beside him, her body still cradled in his
embrace, as unconscious as it was the moment before. For a second he
assumed he had failed her. But had he, he'd have been called back for
immediate reassignment already. No... her body had simply slipped into a
shock induced coma, spitting her soul from her body to keep it from wrecking
her mortal shell anymore than she already had.
The relief he felt scared him a bit. His kind was not supposed to care for her's
this much. Yes, they were supposed to love their Guarded, but not in the way
they used the word. Not in the way he was forbidden to love. Were he to allow
himself to feel that way about her, he would be sent to join the army of the dark.
He had seen it happen before. His brothers often came to care too much for their
Guarded. It was a hazard of watching over someone for their whole life.
"Where am I?" Rosaline asked beside him, rubbing her head and looking at him.
When she saw exactly what was to be beheld before her, Rosaline screamed.
"Wh-who are you! Wh-why do you have wings?" Then she saw herself in his
lap. If she had been in her body, she'd have fainted. As it was, she just shut
down for a moment, and could only stare.
Before she could worry herself anymore, Sammek took one of her spiritual
hands in his to calm her while he still shielded her mortal counter-part.
"Be calm, Rosaline. Please. You've been in a terrible accident."
Rosaline sat there with her hand in his, confused. Then she glanced at his
wings again and something clicked in her rattled mind. "Y-you hit Rufus
over the head!" She accused, pulling her hand from his and staring at him
in a moment of fear.
The fear in her gaze hurt him in a way he didn't understand. After all, often
her kind looked upon his in fear and aw. But he shrugged one wing gently.
"Yeah? So?" He asked, then muttered, "The pig deserved it anyways."
Rosaline's fearful gaze turned hard. Sammek recognized this. He had seen
this coldness taking her over in the past year. It had been seeded by her
mother's death, then fertilized by Rufus's selfishness, and finally watered and
tended by her peers' inabilities to believe in her. Now this illness that she
used as a shield and shell was probably going cause her to die.
"Who said I wanted your help?!" She snapped, reaching forward to try and
pull him away from her body.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Rosaline." He said, curling himself around
her body in a bit more of a protective stance. Finally he faintly heard an
ambulance in the distance. He felt a relief upon him that scared him almost
as much as the strength of his remorse has scared him earlier.
"And how do you know my name!" She snarled. At least she had pulled her
hand back.
Sammek felt the familiar mourning feeling in his chest for the once sweet
Rosaline. She had been so sweet not but a year ago. Part of him, the part
that cared for her far too much, hoped and somehow knew that under her
defenses, she was still the same...
Sammek reached up and touched Rosaline's cheek gently as he leaned away
from her body very slightly. The ambulance would be there any moment and
he needed her spirit to sleep so that it would follow her body freely.
"You don't have to act tough around me, Rosy." He said softly before kissing
her forehead gently, sending her into a deep sleep. He pulled back and felt
his wings tremble in fear. He had wanted much to much to tilt her head a
little higher so that her lips might meet his. For a horrifying moment he
hoped she would die so that he might not be damned. The thought passed
as quickly as the ambulance arrived, and as Sammek left Rosaline's body
in the capable hands of the paramedics who didn't even realize he was there,
he lifted her soul into his arms to follow them. He held her close and wrapped
his wings around her gently. He vowed to himself to never again think such
a horrible thing.

To be continued...?
Leaving this account.
I just... need a clean start.
