I died a bit inside when I saw the kitsune-dogs. Literally, I fell out of the chair XD
They are some of the most beautiful pets I have ever seen, they deserve beautiful Japanese names! -cries tears of joy-
I got both, I'm so happy now :3

The kitsune/foxes/whatnot look AMAZING. I'm loving the style and everything. New hoard maybe? Except, I'm afraid so many other people will hoard them too. OTL The wildlife dogs look awesome and I'm loving Blu's BW's too; I love those dark natural looking colors (almost natural ;3). I'm a bit hesitant about Yulyn's ponies due to the amount of things it could be. Items/objects/etc (as markings) on animals just seems weird to me, but I'm sure they'll look great in the end. :B I'm glad to see the coontail was bred too, I LOVE the coontail. X3 I really can't wait to see those 2nd gens.

I'm probably going to be the only one to say this, and I hate being negative, but I feel rather betrayed when it comes to the 2nd Gens. I thought we were promised that they wouldn't use any of the rare '08's for 2nd Gens again, as it devalued them? I only say this, truly, because now I have to go find a coon-tail for my 2nd Gen collection, and trade some of my actual collection pets I've gathered for that. (Not to mention, half of my REALLY good trades were given away to staff members and friends over Christmas, so now I have nothing but collection pets to trade for. I didn't realize I'd ever have to do this. -.-) So yeah, I'm bummed because of this.

On the happier side, if I can get around to it, it's a lovely couple and I'm sure they'll have lovely pets. And I am excited to see two butterfly wolf couples. Everything else looks wonderful though! [/EndNegativity]

Devalues the 2nd gens, or the VR '08s? Because I think that, if anything, the Coontail will be more sought after now, so people can have both parents of the litter. IMO, it hardly devalues them at all. I don't think you're really mad that it "devalues" them, you're just annoyed that you gave away your fodder and now have to trade from your collection to get a coontail.

I am sorry, but...is someone holding a gun to your head telling you that because it was used in a Gen 2 breeding you now have to get a Coontail? No, because that is your choice whether or not you go looking for one. And no one made you give out your good trades as presents, I can only assume you did that out of the kindness of your heart....though given the way you phrased it there it sounds more like whining to me. I don't mean to sound like a right b-word, but it just really annoys the crap out of me when people act like Tess somehow "betrayed" them by releasing pets made from rare pets. Tess and the artists go through a lot of work to bring new pets out to us each month, something that they do not have to do at all, and I highly doubt that they appreciate comments saying that what they made is a betrayal.

These are the best thing to ever happen to me here on ChickenSmoothie on Adoption day. Right up there with the Dec. 18th Advent release when I adopted my Moon Doggie. I can't even put into words how much I love love love this combination.



I only got two different 2nd Gen outcomes though. I'm sure there's more.

On a side note... I can't imagine why we shouldn't have 2nd Gens of more of the '08 Dogs. I don't know how it would devalue the parents. I think it's kind of neat. I know I'd love to see more of them. If anything, as the site grows by leaps and bounds, it'll give newer members a chance to actually be able to have a little bit of some of those super mega dream pets that are ridiculously out of reach for them with the way values and trading are going lately.
