aussish & nevee <3We flew. We laughed and we played and we flew. Something magical flashed between us every time our eyes met. Aussish was a strange creature, his eyes were almost always closed. He liked to feel his way around the world instead of seeing it. I prefered when his eyes were closed. I never felt like he was watching me, I was never self consious. It made me feel so safe with him. He was that shadow, the blood splatter on the snow, the twisted streak of light that hit the ground where nobody was watching.
Nevee. Like the other side of never. She made me smile. I kept my eyes closed so that when I opened them she was the first thing I saw. The most beautiful thing in the world, right there in front of me every time I opened my eyes. Her natural gradient colors looked like the sunset over the ocean, and her eyes... Oh, her beautiful eyes. The pools of silk that I could never look directly at for fear of falling into them.
Where should we go...?
Somewhere bright, and clear.
Why not somewhere cold?
Why would we go somewhere like that?
So I can sit close to you while we watch the stars.
Nevee laughed.
Will you catch me if I fall?
What kind of question is that?
The kind of question you're supposed to answer.
How about I just kiss you instead?
<3
Oh, and I love this pair:

I liked these two together. ;]
And when I first saw this pup, I immediately thought of the brown bobtail below. They look so similar to me, I don't really get why. They look good next to each other too. ^^

Tsubasa <m> .x. Miss Peapa <f>
Warmth, such a gentle warmth. Those were the first thoughts of a tiny white puppy opening his eyes for the first time. Light flooded into the pupils that had never before seen the light, and for a few seconds, the tiny creature found the bright light too much to stand, momentarily shutting his little eyes again. It was not long before they opened again, however, and this time they took in the beautiful stretch of blue sky, the cotton-ball clouds and the catherine-wheel sun above.
"A..." the puppy stuttured, trying to make a sound with the newfound talent of speech. "Aaaaa?"
An echo of laughter fell on the pup's ears, making the pup squirm with uneasiness.
"Talking does not come within seconds, son."
It was not the warm tone of his mother the pup had been hoping for. His eyes were showing him a huge, portly dalmation-pattered dog, the edges of his mouth spattered with some kind of disgusting food he had seemingly just eaten.
"Ahh, but when you can talk, you can eat." the fat dog laughed, floppy black spotted ears flickering in amusement at the pup's now disdainful face. "That is the spice of life."
"Ahh!" repeated the pup, echoing the adult's speech, but in a more disgusted tone. "Ahh!"
"You're mocking me, eh?" the adult's voice suddenly turned into a sneer and a heavy tail thrashed down and hit the puppy on the head. It yelped in pain. Another wolf, similar in pattern to the first wolf rushed in. Her dalmation spots were lemon-coloured, not black. She seemed to be one of the first wolf's relations. She glared down at the puppy, though her gaze did not seemed to be centered on him alone. The puppy realised that she was staring at not just him, but also at three other tiny, furry, blanket-cloaked white puppies.
"So? What about their mother?" she asked, sharply.
"She's gone to the big ol' kennel in the sky!" laughed the first dog, speech slurred now.
"Have you been eating the stale grapes I put aside to make some food with?" the she-wolf scolded him. "You know they have a strange effect on wolves!"
"But they're tasty!" replied the first wolf, loudly, before making a disgusting noise that the puppy cowered away from.
"Anyway, the puppies." the she-wolf shook her fur, as if trying to fan away the echoes of the first wolf's belch. "They need names." she flicked her lemon-spotted tail to two of the three other pups. "Jared. Jareth. The first and second-born." she then turned to the third pup. "This is the female, right? Is she the runt, then?"
The puppy looked at his kin curiously. Although suspected of being a runt, she was just as big as the other puppies. Then that must mean...
"Ah, this last male is the runt!" the first wolf bellowed, giving the helpless pup a kick to the stomach, making it whine.
"Well, the late mother of the pups said that if there were a female, she wanted it to be named Spyridion. So that's the three strongest settled." the female turned to the original pup, now quaking under its blanket, trying to recover its breath. "And the runt shall be called-"
She was cut off by a laugh from the first wolf. "Don't bother naming it. It'll be dead within a week or so."
This was the day I started my life.
The puppy's eyes flickered open. Today, he turned seven days - he was due to leave his blanket behind and show his markings. Excited but cautious, the nameless puppy got to his feet, his blanket dropping back from him to reveal his markings. He saw, to his delight, that despite being deemed and treated as the runt, he had still ended up with beautiful red markings. The bright red marks were shaped like a pair of wings, and they spread across his back. He chased his tail trying to see all the way behind him, but ended up bumping into one of the rocky, cold cave walls.
"Right, time to show them I'm not such a runt after all!" he barked aloud, padding out proudy to find his brothers and sister.
As the nameless puppy ran from the cave, excited in thinking that he may finally be named and respected, his brother and sister approached with the lemon-spotted wolf. He stopped abruptly.
Jared had striking blue markings. He was wearing a feathered hat, too. His sister had markings of indigo. And Jareth-
His enthusiasm dried up as qickly as it had arrived. His oldest brother, Jareth, had exactly the same markings as him. He dropped into a sitting position with shocked disappointment.
"Oh, runt has the same markings as Jareth!" Spyridion laughed in her sweet yet stinging voice to the lemon-spot wolf.
Jareth looked at his youngest brother disdainfully. "Why must you turn out to be such a cheap imitation of me? And I had such high hopes for you..."
Jared and the lemon-spot wolf exchanged pitiful glances as if telling each other wordlessly how much of a failure he was. The pup could take it no longer. He got to his paws and ran off into the trees.
That was when I met her.
Grapevine settlement, the lovers of war. The settlement of wolves who loved to fight and make merry. The stale grapes used in the food affects the wolves' brains and makes them feel happier, though this also causes them to do bad things, and of course, 'drunk dogs turn nasty' - so the saying goes.
Three wolves, one a deep purple, one with chocolate brown dalmation patterns and one covered with brown speckles were huddled in a shadowed corner in the eating den. Many more wolves were sat together, eating stale grape and fresh prey and generally having a good time. The atmosphere was so noisy that no-one noticed the runt. He tumbled in by accident, having tripped over a tough little root outside and fallen headlong into the den. The pint-sized bundle of white and red fur picked his way between the drunken revellers to the corner opposite the one the three wolves were in. There he huddled, contemplating the day's events, a dark cloud blanketing his mind, blocking out the stench of grapemould and rotting prey. His thoughts were eventually interrupted by a cry from the opposite corner, causing him to finally pay attention to where he was.
A tiny shape, hardly visible against the shadows, was being taunted and beaten by the three adult wolves. The runt, acting on instinct, leapt into instant action. He grabbed a small sword lying near one of the feasting wolves and grabbed the handle in his mouth, plunging it into the backside of one of the three wolves. It howled in pain and collapsed onto its side. The runt withdrew the sword from the wolf and ran to protect the dark shape the wolves were abusing. The other two wolves stared at the sword-wielding runt, stunned, before leaping at him angrily. The runt closed his eyes, regretting trusting his insticts now. He was going to die.
But she was one of them.
Before the wolves' teeth hit the runt's body, there was a bright golden light. The shadow the runt was trying to protect lit itself up, revealing itself to be a beautiful puppy with a peacock-blue coat. An invisible shield seemed to repel the attackers, and they stumbled back, amazed. The runt, still holding the sword, took the oppertunity to run; he dashed out of the eating den and collapsed on the dusty ground outside, panting. It must have been five or six minutes before his thoughts finally began processing properly again. He had been saved by a peacock-coloured pup. He turned, and, to his surprise, the pup was sat behind him, her little green bob-tail wagging in amusement.
"What is your name?" she asked him, her voice like honey and silk to the runt's ears. He was not used to the gentle tone as he had been raised among mocks and jeers.
"I am..." he paused, letting all the feelings of shame and disappointment rush back to him. Tears welled up within seconds and fell from his blue eyes. "I am... no-one... I am the runt..."
The peacock-pup looked genuinely shocked. "But you were so brave and powerful!" she protested. "You don't deserve to be the runt!"
"But my markings are identical to my older brother's, I'm thin and I'm weak!" he cried, throwing his head down to the floor. The gentle feeling on the blue pup's soft muzzle on his fur made his head raise a little. Now looking at her face up close, he saw she had deep blue eyes and green peacock-feather markings on her peacock-blue fur. She also had a tiny pair of green feathered wings. Wings! The runt had never seen a winged wolf before, let alone a winged pup. The only wolves with wings were rumoured to be wolves who made journeys to the highest mountains to recieve the blessings of the priestess, and he found it hard to believe the pup had done that. She laughed at his confusion.
"I am Peapa and you are Tsubasa." she told him, her voice filled with warmth and love that made Tsubasa's heart lift. He had a name. "I am a puppy with Peter Pan Syndrome," she explained to him. "Otherwise known as PPS. This means that I do not grow."
Tsubasa's eyes became wide as saucers. "You don't grow?"
Peapa laughed at his face. "I do not know about other regions, but in this region it is our leader who was the original PPS. He could turn other pups into PPS, and then they could turn others into PPS, until eventually a whole group of us made a mini-settlement up on one of the cliffs."
"Leader?" echoed Tsubasa, his curiosity envoked.
"They bring out your inner self in return for inflicting you with PPS." Peapa explained. "Before I became inflicted with PPS, I was just a tiny brown runt. Then he came and turned me into this!"
Tsubasa laughed for the first time in his short life. "Just like me, eh?"
"You'd make a lovely PPS," Peapa gazed at him. In response, he jokingly held up the sword he still carried and held it up in his jaws, pretending to be a war hero like some of the most respected dogs of the settlement. Peapa let out a sweet, tinkling laugh.
"Seriously, though, could I really be like you?" Tsubasa gazed at her, unable to hide his admiration and infatuation for the peacock-pup.
"Sure!" Peapa reassured him. "It only takes two seconds!" she touched her little pink nose to Tsubasa's shoulder. For a few seconds, he radiated a soft yellow light before it cleared.
"...Is that it?" Tsubasa asked, nervously. Peapa's eyes sparkled.
"You look lovely," she told him, her eyes fixed on his back where his markings were. He turned in surprise to find that his marking had changed colour, and was now a beautiful gradient instead of just red, going from red to orange to purple to blue, like a sunset.
I want to be with her forever.
Tsubasa and Peapa padded through the trees towards the border of the Grapevine territory. Tsubasa had kept the sword by tying it around his waist with a leathery, thick rope. Peapa stopped.
"Hey, Tsubasa, look! Isn't it pretty? It marks the edge of the territory!" Peapa smiled, pointing a paw at a tree stump.
Tsubasa looked. A brown and white pheasant's feather was lying on the stump and the word 'Grapevine' was caved into the flat bark surface next to it. Tsubasa took the feather from the tree stump and tied it around his tail with a little length of string.
"The feather is gone with the wind," he smiled feelingly, waving his tail gently to and fro to make sure it was secure. "Just like me!"
There was a clatter from between two birch trees. The two pups turned, and there stood Jared, Jareth and Spyridion.
"Brother," Jared began, but Peapa growled.
"His name is Tsubasa and he is the newest PPS of the forest," she told the wide-eyed siblings, who gaped at their brother, who no longer looked the runt, hat with the sword, the feather and the rainbow markings. Jareth looked angry, Spyridion looked shocked, and both sat in silence. Jared padded forward. Wordlessly, he took off his feathered cap and placed it on his brother's hat to show his respect. His two siblings glared at him, but still remained silent.
"Good luck." Jared murmered. Tsubasa nodded, and turned to Peapa. She lead the way across the Settlement's border, towards the path that lead to the cliffs.
And so... my wish came true.

Thanks. n_n I've been planning that story for a while now, I thought they were really cute PPSs so I couldn't resist making a backstory to link them together DD:
I've only just realised how many spelling errors I made. *Hurridly corrects them all*
