This thread is amazing... Just amazing (:

Any ways.. I've wanted to know every since I joined cs;

What does it feel like to creat something that so many people would love and later call it their 'dream' to be able to keep them at any price..?

Sorry if it was already answered;; I really want to know what it's like to do .. you know what you probably do every day?

Hello to everyone from the Staff c:

If its okay i have two questions...three just remembered one more.

1 . Does everyone from the Staff personally know each other

2. is there a CS headquarters where everyone works?

3. While i was reading the Rare List guide i noticed a disscussion between staffs

Value is a different thing from rarity anyway - there may be more Sunbacks on CS than Dogtags, but there also a lot more Sundog hoarders because they're such a popular design, so there may be fewer Sunbacks actually available than there are Dogtags. To assess functional rarity you have to look at how many are in circulation, which you can only find out from other traders. ;)

Which made me think , so many people have quit , especially early account ones , and valuable and rare pets are just aging away there instead of making somebody happy . Like a user i spoke to once they had this amazing account but they quit and the pets are still there. Isnt there a way to deal with this problem?

Pets on inactive accounts aren't really a problem at all, because of the way CS calculates rarities, and because of the Re-release event.
Firstly, due to the fact that the rarity system only takes pets on active accounts into consideration, it means that all those "abandoned" pets don't count. Unless the account goes active again, the pets on it are treated as if they don't exist, just like pets that are adopted off-account.
To make sure that old pets don't become impossible to obtain, CS re-releases a number of them every year during the 18th day of the Advent Calendar. This way people get a chance to obtain old and rare pets once more, which helps to keep them from "going extinct", so to speak.

So while it sure can be sad to see valuable pets sit on inactive accounts, it's not a problem for the site economy at all.
It would also be pretty unfair to do anything with those pets and accounts - sometimes people do come back, and there is always the chance that they remember their old account details and wish to use it instead of making a new one.
And of course, you can't guarantee that just because someone isn't coming online here they wouldn't still have their pets displayed on signatures of profile pages elsewhere.

Another question..;;

If you(a staff member) create a pet, are you guaranteed to own that pet..? Or is it random for you guys too?

Cause, I mean, you'd probably like to have the pet you created?

Can I ask, why can't we say our age? It's not like I'm giving out my personal address.

I use a Wacom Bamboo Create! I'm pretty sure it isn't sold in stores anymore so I don't really think I could recommend it, but it does the job nicely for me. c: Honestly if you are a person who has drawn with a mouse just go with a tablet that doesn't have a screen; mine doesn't have one and I have no issues. xD

#1. Do you like Gravity Falls or Steven universe...?
#2. Art tips? shading etc..?

Yes! I like both shows, I'm just pretty quiet about it.

It's best to experiment with different lighting or study lighting while you're somewhere. For example, when you are near a window study how the shadows act. o:

Nope! I don't know everyone personally, in fact the only one I've actually met/know in person is Celozon. I talk to other staffers, so you could call that knowing personally as well but idk.

As far as I know, there isn't a place where everyone works, we all live in different countries so that would be hard. |D

Nope! It's completely random for us, we could very well miss out on our own pet!

I don't usually answer general questions due to rules but this one I'm pretty defiant about the subject.

While you may think you are mature enough and know how to handle yourself online; not everyone does. Point is there could be some very dangerous people we don't know about on CS that could target users if they gave out their age, and if we only allowed certain people to do it then everyone would do it, it's more fair to not share any age at all as to protect users from this (Yes, it could happen to you even if you do know how to handle the situation!) It's not like users need to know your age anyways.

This seems a little weird to ask, but do you have any advise for me people
who doubt a lot of what they do? Like, second guessing, being a perfectionist, beating
oneself up for mistakes, and worrying about how people will react, even when they
know nothing is at stake? (Is this confusing?)

Idk, ya'll seem like all knowing people for some reason O___o

I used to care so much about what people thought of me. Everything I did reflected around, "What will everyone else think of this?" and I was never happy. Remember that life is short, and everyone is self-centered. You can take that with a grain of salt, but in reality, everyone else is so worried about what YOU think about THEM that they don't care what you're doing. Something that you see as absolutely horrible is probably something that no one even noticed. People are too worried about themselves to worry about you. Do you worry about anyone else? Do you constantly judge their actions? Of course not, so why do you think they feel any differently in regards to you? People really don't care. And if they do care about it, they probably don't matter. You're never going to see them again and they're never going to think about it.

As for being a perfectionist... well, what standards are you using? You can never be perfect, because everyone has a different opinion of what perfect is. Get your work done, make yourself happy, and get where you want to be in life. We're all stumbling through this great big world with no idea what's going on, so you'd might as well be happy and at peace while you're doing it. ^^

get back on track it's not about you So, how tall are you?

It's so fun to learn the heights of Internet friends. Looks can be very deceiving when you've only seen someone's face and maybe their shoulders! I'm 5'2", which is 157.5 cm. My Internet friends always say that I look really tall and can't believe how short I am. I hated being short when I was little, but I like it a lot now. ^u^

Nope, you have to adopt it just like everyone else! :3

WolfKate wrote:Can I ask, why can't we say our age? It's not like I'm giving out my personal address.

I'll be completely blunt and honest. There are creepy people out there that target younger kids on the Internet, and since CS is a website that welcomes all ages, we have players of every age. CS does not want to attract that sort of behavior, so if no one can share their age, then people with bad intentions are more likely to leave.
