Suppose you opened up a C$ shop and sold 62 '09 rares at 30 C$ each. That would be 1860 C$. Then you could buy a Sunjewel?! That doesn't seem remotely fair. People trading would have to go through waaaay more to get a Sunjewel. In pets, 62 '09 rares is like a high September. The C$ thing seems like less of a way to make sure people don't spend too much money and more of a loophole caused by problematic conversions.
So do people actually sell their mainlists for C$? Because they really wouldn't get their money's worth for them, so to speak. Sorry if this has been asked before, but it really, really bothers me.ahh it bothers me too, but I think that's why most people don't trade their mainlists, and sometimes Septembers too, for c$.
Every trade I've seen with a C$ being traded for a decent demand mainlist usually is overpaying on the C$ side. For example, I saw someone trading 2700 C$ for a sunjewel,
but even with that much overpay the person didn't really want to accept. So no, most people don't trade their mainlists for c$, at least not the worth that's stated on the front page.
Please don’t spread false information. I trade C$ often for mainlists, it’s the only way I’m able to get mainlists or September lists. Off the top of my head I think I’ve completed around 3o+ c$ To list trades.
Why C$ is calculated the way it is is stated on the front page. Because it is bought with real life money it has to be calculated this way.
Why don't C$ values add up like pets?
Many people ask, "a mid advent is worth 7 09 rares, and an 09 rare is anywhere from 30-45C$. But the mid advent is only listed at 85C$! Shouldn't it be 210-315C$?"
There is a reason why we don't do this.
19C$ = $1 US Dollar
An 09 rare is roughly 30C$. (Just using this as a middle ground, they can be more or less.)
A mid advent is 7 09 rares, so 210C$. ($11 USD - that's already a lot.)
A blue rose dog is worth 7 mid advents, so that would be 1,470C$, or $77 USD. That's a lot of money.
And to take a big jump, a nondog is worth 36 blue roses. That would be 52,920C$, or $2,785 USD.
And finally, a sunjewel is worth 5 nondogs. 264,600C$ or $13,926 USD.
This is why we simply cannot use rarity math like this. A sunjewel right now, at 1840C$, is worth $105 USD which is still a lot of money, but clearly a lot more doable than nearly 14k.
You can clearly see why it’s calculated the way it is. Yes, you can technically trade off o9 rares to get the C$. But keep in mind whether that’s how you obtain C$ or what have you, C$ is bought with real money. it’s not some magical loophole to get high list pets. I’m not going to try to pay 14,000$ for some pixel pet. But sometimes 100$ is more reasonable, especially considering that’s usually how much a ‘speciality’ pack is in phone app game purchases.
To me the problematic conversion would be trying to say ANY pet is worth more than 100$ or 1840 C$. That would be just greed on the websites part tbh? Even tho I’m fairly sure this is a user made guide and not official, even still. And Cs is not that way, anyways.
And yes. People do trade off high demand and high mainlists *fairly* for C$. You just need to put in the actual work and patience to find these users.
