I have a question.
In the adopt pets have you ever had rare monthly pets? Instead of the odd event rares or the store pets?

Certainly! While it is much more likely for event pets to turn rare (something that was discussed on the event thread), and store pets are pretty much guaranteed to be rare and above, monthly pets can be rares, too!
We actually had a rare outcome last month:


Or, to use a more 'famous' example: November 2008 had the card litter, and the Joker dog was by far the rarest of them all. Similarly, the July Lioness of 2012 turned very rare immediately.
A pet's rarity depends on how many of them exist on the site, compared to how many active users there are.
So if the chance for a newborn to grow into a certain outcome is set to be very low, less people will get it, ensuring it'll get a higher rarity.

The Rainbow Smoothie discussion was merely a random conversation that happened aaaaall the way back in 2009 and resulted in the addition of the rainbow smoothie as a semi-custom item. It wasn't planned by anyone, so there's no telling if CS will ever see something like it again.
However, chances are fairly slim. Back in 09 CS was a whole lot smaller, and the community was quite a bit different from the way it is now. A bunch of people getting a semi-custom item was a funny joke and not a big deal overall.

CS has had its moments where community-created ideas were incorporated in the site, but if it happens these days, such pets or items are usually easier to obtain so that anyone can get them. For example, everyone was able to adopt the 2nd gen babies from Cleocatra and Archie (a litter based on the community's decision to ship the two characters during the 2014 summer event). And the halloween banner dog was originally a character made up by Satamoru, which was then turned into a pet for the 2013 banner hunt.

So yes, sometimes CS still does have shout-outs to things that happen in the community, but I believe it'll be rather unlikely that it'll happen on a scale as small as the rainbow smoothie incident again.

I know at least one person who is still active and owns a rainbow smoothie, but it's really not my place to disclose their name like that.

When you adopt a pet in a litter, how do they choose who gets the growing ''Rares'' and ''very rares.'' Like is it random, or are they chosen to certain users at a time? ( Such as the 2016 PPS lion, which im guessing is a rare. ) Sorry if this question doesn't make much sense, i don't make a lot of sense my self ;w;.

What type of music do you listen to?

i listen to indie folk and my friends think it's weird (i don't really like pop)

I don't really favor one genre over another, but I do have my favorites from a few genres ^^ I'm pretty selective on the artists that I enjoy! I'd say that I listen to EDM, dubstep, synth pop, future trap, punk rock, pop, and rap. Some of my favorite artists from those genres are S3RL, Skrillex, Fox Stevenson, The Ready Set, Shawn Wasabi, Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, Halsey, and Childish Gambino.

Stop worrying about whether or not people like you. There will always be a crowd who dislikes you no matter what you do, so do what makes you happy. People in school aren't going to matter in 4 years from now if they aren't your friends.

Honestly, all I cared about from 7th-10th grade was being popular and accepted by my peers. It made me really sad that I didn't have tons of friends and I wasn't popular. I can't believe how much time I wasted caring about it. Once you graduate, those people are irrelevant. I still have my friends from high school, but the girl who said my hair was ugly hasn't been relevant in my life for years. Your real friends will always be your real friends, and you'll forget about everyone else before you know it. The same could be applied to college as well. When I first went to college, I noticed myself adopting my old way of thinking so I made sure to leave it behind me as fast as I could. High school kids won't matter after high school and college kids won't matter after college.

Honestly, I don't think something like this will happen again. Instances like that were possible because CS was a lot smaller back then and had a more laid-back attitude. An event like that one would never happen because it would be considered spam and just be deleted before it got so out-of-hand.

I believe there are ~10 in existence, but many are either on inactive accounts or are in forever homes ^^

It's completely random and statistical. Tess decides how common/rare an outcome should be when they are put up for adoption and the pets you get are simply based on statistics. You might have a 30% chance of adopting outcome 1, a 40% chance of adopting outcome 2, a 30% chance of adopting outcome 3, etc.

I like eating Milo powder, but I don't think it works that well as a drink... you have to add SO MUCH POWDER before it tastes good

did you know they don't have Milo in America? they're missing out.
