I love origami, though I don't do it much anymore. I used to do tons of modular origami when I was in school because it helped me focus. There were star balls all over the house.

Why is the website called Chicken Smoothie?

What inspired you to make this site? And what/who helped you come up with the name, does it have a meaning or origin?

I originally made the name Chicken Smoothie for a different website, so that's why it seems really random. The original website was meant to be a mixture of different stuff (like how a smoothie is a mixture) and I just loved chickens. It was meant to sound kind of absurd. I abandoned that website back in 2005 but I kept using chickensmoothie as a username for a few years. I also had a site called Silent Wolf Kennelz which I began in 2004. In 2008 I decided to host the Silent Wolf Kennelz website on a new domain and I used "my username" for the web address, so Silent Wolf Kennelz was on chickensmoothie.com for a while. Then I decided to change the title of Silent Wolf Kennelz to match the domain, so it became Chicken Smoothie. Silent Wolf Kennelz was a fan site for a computer game, but I added adoptables to it (the first CS adoptables), and the adoptables slowly took over. I slowly removed all the Silent Wolf Kennelz fansite stuff and added more adoptables, and the site evolved into all this!

So this site has a long and confusing origin story and it's hard to describe it in a few sentences :')

As far as inspiration: I was mostly inspired by an oekaki community who loved to draw cartoon dogs/cats and they all had fursonas and OCs. They got me interested in drawing on the computer and creating adoptables. So I hope our oekaki community will continue inspiring future generations

Do you play Pokemon Go?
If so; How do you feel about the recent update?

I personally dislike the deletion of the paw distance feature, but I was glitched and they had to do something about it, haha.

Yes I play Pokemon Go

I miss being able to track pokemon by distance/direction. Now it's really hard. Me and Nick circled several blocks trying to find a particular pokemon the other night and we never found it.

I really dislike feet - I'm not sure why, but I just don't like them much. I hear that's pretty normal though. Unless we're talking puppy feet, in which case, my opinion is overwhelmingly positive.

It was always a dream, and I actually moderated another much smaller forum when I was 11, but it's since shut down.

How did you feel when you became a Staff member of CS?
Why did you apply in the first place? Your biggest goal/achievement on CS?

I think I've said it before, but I jumped up, ran into my kitchen and did a little jig when I found out! I also told my sister very, very loudly.
I'm a logical person so I'll be honest, I loved helping and I wanted to help more efficiently. I definitely can now (:
My biggest achievement would be my sunjewel, and my biggest goal is to complete my collection.
