Store pets are not always very rare, some do end up rare like some of the store Dragon Cats and the Storgies

Actually, that's not true.

The two dragon-cats are from 2014 and the corgies are from 2013.
If a store pet is popular enough, tons of people buy it, making them become less rare.


Also, surprisingly the Ravendog was originally one of the storepets that was rare right off the bat. The demand was insane, thus people bought them.

Bot accounts with no pets increase the player to pet ratio; There may not be more of the pet but there are more "people" without the pet, making the rarity go up. When these bot accounts without pets are deleted, the ratio is set to "normal" again and the rarity of pets goes down.

In addition, members who might not have logged in awhile who also own this pet could also be affecting it. More members with a pet = lower rarity. Events usually make members who aren't as active come back online, thus changing rarities slightly.
