just curious & genuinley asking, why is the gold gacha pup going for so much? i saw someone auctioning one off and they were asking for old rares & very rares, store pets, the pps dragon cat, and they edited it and there is no auto-win listed now but before they edited the auto-win was like 12 very rares or something ??? i'm pretty inexperienced with high value stuff and rare trading but that seems like a lot for what i've heard will be a 2021 rare at best, is it just that people really like the outcome or are people trying to charge/willing to pay as much as possible because it's hard to find?

{a little of both-- but it's mostly demand. Usually if an outcome is more liked and harder to come by [aka, people scrambling to find it in the swap thread] users are willing to pay more. So if people who own it see the demand they ask for outrageous payment. It's not going to be worth it. Give it a week or two after it grows and it'll calm down, even if the outcome ends up being rare-- which I still doubt.}

iHolli has it right- and this is something that happens almost every month/event with the more uncommon outcome of a litter. Depending on the species popularity, design, etc, the amount of overpay changes, from 3-5 C$ to the crazy inflation you see with the gacha pup today. But at the end of the day, demand tends to plunge either when the new month starts and there's a new hard to find outcome, or when rarities come out. In this case, there's a bit of hype about the mystery of what it will grow into which is feeding the demand monster. A lot of people don't trade growing or unknown rarities, so that also influences the availability.

Either way, most of the demand and payment comes from people who want the pet in their collection right now. Most of the traders paying high prices are smart. They know what it's worth and what it will likely end up (uncommon, maybe rare). They aren't going to be surprised or burned by the fact the pet demand drops- they know it, but they're willing to pay to have the pet now.

If you're patient and cool with getting the pet/completing your monthly collection a few weeks from now, you'll have almost no issue finding or trading fairly for it. Heck, half the time when that new hard to find outcome arrives, people will offer you the last pet that was so popular! The skull cat at Christmas was a huge demand pet with trades upwards of 50+ C$ and store pets, same with the skull dog from Halloween- both of those trade fairly now for other 2020 rares. In fact, I just traded for my 13th skull cat a couple days ago by trading a single 2020 easter rare!

an amusing thought just crossed my mind about the golden pup. What if in a major plot twist it turns out growing into a dud? xD

I mean like how something shiny like that gets your hopes up about whats inside of it only to reveal that its something of equal quality as the other regular colors once you get a good peek at it. Just my mind rambling along dont mind me too much. x)

Can we talk about these three? I think they are so interesting and feel unique next to the usual dog adopts we see around! Their colour palletes are so pleasing to look at as well!

Their colors are just lovely and love how they represent ice, deserts and forests <3
But I do wonder why they chose those three continents. I mean if you choose to show continents, why not go with them all? How do you pick between them?
It's a lovely litter nonetheless with a good representation of some of the more common habitats/climates of the world! :D

I really hope the golden gacha pup’s rarity is just uncommon because people wanting lists for it is just obnoxious. I just want it for my collection. :,)
