Pretty cool color combos.
What I've read so far it seems that we need to take hints with pure caution and 'not over look things' for the most part. (Silently prays for a dragon.)

My prayer for something that looks like a dragon has come true

WoW!!!! I am really curious as to the artists thoughts behind this one, if there is a story, etc. I REALLY like it!!! I am hoping there is a story that goes with it, if not, that is cool too, but either way, this one is a definite keeper....even my extras are keepers......so unique!!!
Agreed! I REALLY wanna know the artist and the back story!
It kinda looks like fiery warrior-ish...especially up against the black background (:
Awww... The blankie is wrapped around his / her neck!!!!
Hehe, I'm glad ïṉкɾєαℓṃ noticed the blanket's subtle reappearance =) Yep, my guy is incarnate chaos, but I'm planning on making more precise and clean pets in the future, I promise <3 The rough style isn't for everyone (not even for myself sometimes) so I'm going to move away from it a bit. But what I've been noticing with my wilder designs is that people find their own stories or ideas in it. That's really cool that you guys do that.
Originally I was aiming to make a coyote, and using the colors and boldness to represent his desert background. I was inspired by Mexican folk art like
this and
this. Aztec/Mayan themes or designs were definitely part of my ideas, too.
Earlier some people mentioned the chupacabra resemblance the pup gave off. Funny enough, I didn't at all intend for my pup to be spooky! I didn't know what a chupacabra was until I looked it up, either!

Strange how my staff dog gave off a vibe I never intended or saw in it!

alright, so i'mma guess for verdana...
hint #1: doesn't have the regular straight tail.
that narrows it down to these pups since it isn't likely that pups with straight tails will change once they grow:

(although, their pet last year started with a standard straight tail and didn't have one by the end so... *shrug*)
hint: #2: has at least one lineart edit.
doesn't help us narrow it down as a different tail constitutes a lineart edit for all of them.
hint #3: my pup doesn't have purple eyes.
that gets rid of the hammer pup.
hint #3: it should be pretty easy to use items on my grown dog except for on one part of it's body.
this doesn't really help us until the pup grows.
hint #4: their pup uses all the colors of the palette, but not evenly.
the masked pup does not currently have any green and while that can change once they grow, i'm still gonna remove it from the running since it doesn't particularly seem to fit verdana's general art style. too shiny.
hint #5: not a pps.
well, none of the pups in the running were, so that doesn't help.
on to the question/answer they did earlier.
"my grown pup has an element of fantasy to them" x
i'd say that it's pretty likely to say that the cucumber pup is not particularly fantasy-ish, so i think that we can go ahead and say that the green-eyed pup is our final choice:

but i'll keep proving it.
"my pups eyes are visible this year" "very little green" "default cs ears"x
firework pup has visible eyes and they're the only green on the pup, they have the default ears.
random clue they left: x

i've been calling the pup the "firework" pup as it is pretty clearly inspired by fire.
q: "are the toes of your puppy the same as their paws" v: "depends" x
the toes are different colors on the front pair of feet than the back pair of feet, so it depends on which pair of feet you're looking at. also they mentioned here to ask them about the toes on their front paws, which are the toes on this pup that are a different color.
phew. now on to lost items:
item #1:
magic spells book.
to me, it just seems to be further hinting on the fantasy of their pup. not particularly helpful.
item #2:
technically aviator goggles, but i think in this case they could be the kind of goggles you use to protect your eyes from sparks and the like thus leading to a fire related pup again.
item #3: sadly, it was an image of pup dressed up with a headdress of some sort, but it was re-decorated for halloween it seems...
anyways, again, i think this is just hinting towards magical/fantasy powers like the first item as headdresses often are related to magic powers.
apparently, we're missing at least a couple items, but i still think this is more than enough evidence to point the finger towards this being their pup.
so verdana?
is this your pup?

ahh~ i'm so nervous. i'm never right about these sorts of things...

I think it's really cool what you based your pet off of! The coyote idea is very cute, and I love how you ended up representing some very amazing styles of art. I quite like the rough style, as well, and I love the sneaky addition of the blanket in the final stage. Always makes me think of Linus
Definitely my favorite pet so far, especially with all of the individual stories it can create, from graffiti to crayons to whatever catches your eyes and heart
Have a round of applause

I LOVE this pup. It's gorgeous, and when I first saw its pup form, I could NOT wait for it to grow. You did an amazing job, have a cookie!

but I'm pretty sure it's one of these two:

While it is true that Fiery likes three-tailed dogs, I bet is the 'toasted'-dog from the way it is drawn.

I agree, I think it's the one on the right. The eyes especially, even on the pup, match Gatoh's previous pets.
