A sad, wishful sigh escaped her lips - somber violet eyes stared up at the cloudless sky. It was a day like any other; alone in her room Pastel could only gaze out at the world, dreadfully bored and desiring for some excitement in her life. But no - excitement was dangerous, and her daddy was terrified at the thought she may scrape her knee if she went out to play. No one dared come and try to invite her to play; they knew how protective her father was, and the man had long since chased away any possible friends. She loved her father, she truly did - but sometimes Pastel couldn't help but feel suffocated by his firm hold.
"Oi! M'lady! Are you qui' alrigh'?"
The voice, loud and unexpected in the quiet of her surroundings, startled the young woman something awful. Gasping in surprise she sprang back from the window as if burned, hearing a mildly alarmed shout at her sudden withdrawal.
"Oh, shoot! I didn' mean tah frighten yah!" There was a moments pause, and then the voice pursued, now laced with concern. "Are you alrigh' up there? Didn' bonk yer head did yah?"
Pastel could only blink, staring at her open window in disbelief. Who on earth dared not only trespass on her daddy's property, but also strike up a conversation with a casualty that spoke of them having some sort of long friendship? Glancing warily over her shoulder at her bedroom door, Pastel waited tensely to see if her father had been attracted by the racket. Then her attention was abruptly caught by the sound of fluttering wings - and she couldn't stop the cry that escaped her when she turned back to her window to discover a man perched upon the sill, black and blue wings standing out vibrantly against the sun.
"Goodness what are you doing!?" She shrieked, hand flashing out to grab hold of something to protect herself - somehow she doubted the lacy lampshade was very intimidating, but nonetheless she thrust it out in front of herself, warning the stranger she wasn't afraid to smack him with it.
Deep blue eyes blinked first at the lampshade, then flickered upwards to instead consider her face. Then the man tilted his head to the side, raising his eyebrows slowly at her. "I'm checkin' on yah. Yah fell from the window with such a star', then didn' respond when I called tah yeh. I though' maybe yeh hit yer head or somethin'." He stated as if it was the most natural thing to do, clearly not at all intimidated by her flowery lamp cover.
Pastel stared at him for several long, hard minutes; he didn't waver beneath her stare, feet braced against the wood panel of her window, wings spread wide on either side of him - the sun beams managed to pass through them onto her floor, reflecting a pale blue glow on her walls. Finally she huffed, lowering her lampshade and glowering at him with suspicious violet.
"Well, maybe if you hadn't yelled at me so suddenly, I wouldn't have been startled! What on earth were you doing, trespassing on my papa's property? He could have you arrested for that you know." She declared - and then gave herself a good mental kick. What was she doing!? Hadn't she just been wishing, praying, for something exciting? And now something exciting was crouching in her window with a casual ease that almost made it seem like he had always been there.
Luckily, he didn't seem the slightest put-off by her less then welcoming manner. Instead he grinned almost lazily, tilting his weight to the right to brace one shoulder against the wooden pane of the sill, one arm draping over his bent knees. "Well, I was jus' passin' by, and I spotte' yeh starin' a' the sky with such a sa' look, I had tah come an see if yeh were all righ'." He declared cheerfully, giving a half-hearted shrug of his shoulder, blue eyes staring at her good-humorously from beneath a mess of black hair. "Isn' in mah nature tah le' someone look so lonely."
Pastel stared at him, a little taken aback by how completely open he was. There was no shields in his eyes, posture relaxed and expression welcoming. Despite the fact he was a complete stranger and invading her living quarters, she couldn't feel frightened at all. No threat was on his face; and his voice was as light as his eyes.
"Well...." She muttered, not entirely sure how to respond to such a truthful statement. But he seemed fine with her lack of response, eyes flickering away from her to instead absently examine her room, clearly not wanting to intimidate her by staring to long. Neither of them spoke for a while, though she was sure there was a lot of things she should be saying to the man who so rudely trespassed on her home and was currently sitting in her window as if they were the best of friends.
"Mah names Eclipse." He declared quite abruptly, eyes drifting back over to stare at her, teeth displayed in a friendly smile. Pastel stared at him with a thin frown - she knew what that was. That was an offer; the man was verbally reaching out, offering much more then just his name; he was offering his companionship. And even though she didn't know him, and her father would be furious if he discovered it, and even though the man was in her room and could turn out to be complete maniac....
All Pastel could do was smile. Excitement. It was in his aura, his eyes - an unlocked door, just waiting for her to open it. So despite all the buts and what if's and dangers, she couldn't help but hold out her hand, eyes staring into his.
"My names Pastel - it's a pleasure to meet you Eclipse."
