Idk what the artist's inspiration was, but this is what I think happened to this dog.



Rufus was a plain grey dog,
As grey as grey could be.
His nose was grey, his toes were grey,
As was everything else you could see.

Then one day this plain grey dog,
As boring as boring could be.
He fell into an icy lake,
A quite magical lake, you see.

Oh no, how plain and grey you are!
The magical lake did think.
I shall make you a bit more colourful!
But Rufus cried, please don't turn me pink!

But the magical lake knew what it was doing,
And when Rufus next looked at his coat,
It was mixed with the blue and white of the lake!
Rufus suddenly began to float.

Rufus floated all the way to the edge,
Where the lake set him down on the shore.
Rufus was no longer a plain grey dog,
Now he is blue and white and more!

I just love the fact that for all his boringness, he still had to ask not to be made pink

Not to say I think the dog is boring, btw, just speaking from perspective of the poem XD Anyway, it's a lovely poem Solloby, made me giggle
