I honestly think theyll be alligators

Yeah, some kind of reptile. Bird eggs are normally a bit more rounded...not as long and skinny. It looks a lot like an alligator or snake egg? I'm really hoping bearded dragon personally...I had one as a pet. It could also be a dinosaur now that people are talking about it. Although they were large, their eggs weren't bigger than a football at their biggest. I've seen fossils that are about the same shape.

:facepalm: I completely forgot about that detail...lol. Even birds that lay eggs on the ground make nests of stones or flora of some kind. Reptiles tend to bury it, even the ones with maternal instincts enough to care for the young. I'm not sure about dinosaurs though. ><

Dinosaurs bury there eggs, at least some types do can only name one right now though.diplodocus

I googled flamingo eggs, and most of the images I saw were in the dirt or mud. Which makes sense due to the fact that they spend most of their time in rivers and ponds. There are just too many possibilities!! >< gaahhh

Also, ball python eggs are shaped just like that now that I think about it. They could be colored fancy-like. Most turtle eggs are almost completely round, as well as a lot of lizard eggs.
