This is actually not a middle stage zebra, it's an alternative lineart PPS pony known as the "buckskin line". There are some alt lines for horses and ponies because the original horse and pony artist, equimagine, was found to have copied references/committed art theft, so all of the horse and pony CS pets were redrawn. Some of the early pets were redrawn onto alternative lines because the original art had them posed differently, before standardized lines were created. Occasionally, the alt lines are reused, usually for event pets.

Filtering 2015 Valentine's Day to pony shows it, even though the other 3 are zebras

So, I got this pet fromt he pound yesterday:




As you can see, it was adopted in early March. After a bit of looking I found it in the archives for the month of February, though. Does anyone know how long these were available and if it's a special event litter / what the theme is?

they're from a litter based on fairytales for "Tell a Fairytale Day", from febuary 26th to the end of march in 2016 (more info here)! I think this one specifically is based on The Little Mermaid
