i realize that, i already read the thread but i was just wondering what types of things they do to get customs, like do they do things to benefit the website?

Yes, people who have customs that are not staff normally do great things towards the site ^^

yep, i should go onto life and enjoy it. you technically consider your own animals customs, since they were made just for you.

The majority of people who aren't staff and have customs fall into one of four categories:

1. Former staff (i.e. Me, Captain Wolfe, etc)
2. Friends of staff (i.e. Diana, Nouky, etc)
3. Guest artists (i.e. Neph, Blu)
4. People who've done Tess-initiated art trades (i.e. Keroberos)

Oh and I can tell you this: about 90% of the people with customs who are not staff never really expected a custom in the first place, I've had to force customs on a couple of people *snerks*

*raises hand* I was one of those unaware people. I never expected mine, and I can guarentee that if you think you're gonna get one your not.

I sorta guessed about mine but I was initially unaware, but I would've been shocked if I found mine randomly while trading.

Lol i didn't know either. I saw DisabledLlama post that she found a new custom and i spent ages searching through all the staff etc. looking for it and i never thought to check my groups xD
