For my part, I love the horses. (They remind me of the Hun horses from Mulan (I've said that a million times by now. XD. (see? this drawing http://hare.bio.miami.edu/hun/jufang1.jpg reminds me strongly of teh horses))

The koi are more Trout - like now (at least to me) , but they still look awsome ^_^.

And the kitties should be awsome too, like the wolves. ^^

there is a difference between offering constructive criticism, and being plain rude. Calling a picture an 'ugly, fat lineart' is in no way constructive. Being rude to other members is against the rules here, you are expected to treat one another with respect. So for anyone who wants to say any more pointlessly rude words about art here, watch what you say in future and be aware that although posting to strangers on the internet may make you feel detached from real-life, there is a real person on the recieving end.

For those of you who've ever submitted your own creations into a public forum for people to view and criticize, you should already know that it hurts if people give you nothing but negativity, and you may be discouraged to share anything again. We are all privelleged that Malk would put so much effort into re-creating all her pets for us, and I think her new linearts are beautiful. Even if you feel otherwise, there's no need to phrase your opinion in such a nasty format.

Malk is a very multi-talented artist and she has chosen to change her horses to a different breed and style, they are not fat but are draft horses which are of a heavier build to the last breed she was drawing. If you accept them for what they are, I think you'll come to see the lineart is very charming and the horses look very snuggleable :3 if draft horses aren't your thing, give them to someone who will better appreciate them.

But now I'm worried that the new cat lineart will be ugly, too. And the cats were my favorite (of the old & new lineart). I really don't want them to be changed into bad lineart... But I felt the need to let people know that there's actually someone who doesn't like them.

I'm in total agreement. I was so happy to se the wolves, but I was devastated when my beautiful malk horses turned into ugly, fat linearts. The old fish was better, too. I'm sorry malk, but I just don't like the new lineart. I think the nicks are cuter than those (BTW, I'm not one of those people who think nick's work is trash or garbage. I love nick's work.) The new linearts my be the cutest things in the world to some people, but not to me.

It's all right to show your opinion. Don't apologize for having different views, but how you shown them But some of the words and terms you used were slightly offensive. I corrected them and made them politer but still shown you didn't like them

I LOVE the new wolves and I hope the cats will look similarly awesome. I'm sure they will. The horses I'm torn on. I love both looks. I think it would be awesome if there were a button we could hit on their pages to turn them back and forth between the two line arts, but I doubt that would happen. Or maybe the old horse linearts could be released as a special thing like in the next Advent Calender or something. I'd love to be able to have both, side by side.

Hmm...I'm wondering how the elemental cats will change, if they will change. They're already pretty awesome.

And I'm with whoever talked about the spiders before...I would have to stop adopting them if they looked any more realistic.

Oh a random note, Malk's new horses remind me more of the new horses/ponies by equimagine than the old linearts did. They fit better together I guess.
