I stealthily padded through the woods in search of a squirrel. I was desperately hungry and probably in need of water too. I had done it, run away with Gale, but he had abandoned me. Gone. Left with another girl. She came from the capital. The stupid red-headed girl had stolen my Gale from me. Lost in thought I stepped on a twig, scaring any prey in slight. The whips of colored smoke, gathered 'round the young princes paws. It snaked through his fur, curled under his ears and muzzles, trapping him unescapable smog. Before him, the young enchantress cackled. Her body was nothing more then a few pieces of wood, held together with marionette string, but the eerie glare in her eyes, the twisted sound of her laugh, caused the fur the on the prince's back to prickle.
"You should judge others, based soley on looks," giggled the enchantress, her smirk widening like that of the Cheshire cat, "There is more than a persons appearance. Maybe, a new look, will show you that your original judgment was misguided."
With the last word, she seemed to expand. Her figure faded into its own black smoke, the last thing visible, were her soulless, black eyes, smiling out at him.
The Prince felt the smog close in closer, wrapping him in an invisible restraint. It tightened around his throat, causing his breathing to become ragged. He, felt himself going, and the world tilted.
Then everything blackened out.

Sure, sure, just another cliche. We fall in love, the end. But this has a little twist...


There's a happy end. But the beginning is sour, and we hated each other with a passion. He was a musician, I a painter. We never knew anything could be so bittersweet as one we loved dying... And in the end, that was brought us together, and what tore my heart apart and mended it again. He's not what I thought he was, and I, well, I'm the fake, hiding under my mask. And my heart has been broken, many times, by a simple curse. I fall for any boy, any boy, and when they find out, they inevitably leave me.

I'm writing a story anyways. I don't need to not write one just because nobody says I should. I'm writing this one for practice.

I slowly got up and continued my quest for a squirrel. As I looked around I came across a few snares with a rabbit, and a squirrel in them. Barely enough for dinner. Now that I had my squirrel I headed back to my little home. It was deep within the forest where the capitol would never find me. My humble home was really just a tree house made out of wood cut by none other than, you guessed it, me. I climbed up it and went over to my fireplace. I put my catch on a spit and lit the fire. Next, I set out to find some water. I hopped out of my house and headed towards my stream. As I arrived I heard giggling. I looked around and saw the one person I never wanted to see again in my life. There sat Gale looking sad on the riverbank, but still making the girl laugh.
