You're missing two things... they may not have been mentioned today though. I also think you're over thinking the listening part.

Hmm ... for the line "Your ears never stop; in time your height remains," if the dog becomes a sheep, I believe a sheep's horns don't stop growing, but I would assume its height does at some point. Maybe the "ears" comment is actually referring the dog's/sheep's horns? Or maybe the dog's ears become horns, and that's why it isn't listening? Because you can't hear with horns? Yeah, I dunno. XD I can't for the life of me figure out the "Matthew's conception" part, though.

Really want to figure out Liddi's dog, and it seems all the guesses for the wrong pup get openly denied, but the Wiltshire one hasn't yet. ...

we actually think the burning one is summer - for many places have bushfires in summer

The last one could be air! Blowing the leaves off the trees during fall? :3 Could be seasons and elements.
This summer we had really bad smoke coming into the city from fires. It was super hazy and orange everywhere.
