There was some moderate discussion of it being connected to something literary, i missed the masque of the red death post..i dont see THAT connection at all though. i was just responding to the posts i did read. I take expection to your comment, by the way.
(and really, if someone could explain the dragons/warriors thing to me..)
I can't bash something I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS! So anyone who construes my comments as bashing, i apologize.

I was pondering the mausaic for a moment..and realised suddenly, it's a stained glass bird. a tropical bird like a tucan. or a pelican, the lower beak looks like a scoop..perched on something.are we in store for more bird dogs?

No, just thinking it may just be a stained glass window, maybe with birds in it (hence the wing) but not just a bird; I see nothing related to birds on the blanket besides the obvious wing.

maybe the crates are random gift boxes, with a mix of pets from all of malks lines..(i think that got said already)

I can vaguely see the Masque connection, what with the different colors being the different rooms. But if that were the case I feel that the colors would be more defined. But honestly I just think they are a pretty design, maybe stained glass.

I can actually make out a Toucan, now that I look at it =P Pink is the wing/body, the pale yellow is the head, and the darker yellow is the beak. But that's the beauty of Mosaic's - you can find almost anything if you look hard enough

The blanket reminds me of medieval stained glass picturing a man (or woman). The lilac part is the body, the little white part is the face, the pink part is the hat and the yellow part is a feather on the hat =3
