Recent Rarity Change List [January Update in progress!!]

Why are some of my 2010 and 2009 pets going down in rarity? Just how does that happen?

if an old hoarder of those pets comes back from a year long hiatus their pets are considered back in circulation and is calculated into the rarity. it usually happens during events, and christmas because of the re-release

Well it just frustrates me that some of my 2010 rares turned into commons or very common

That would be because of the huge rarity change update that happened months ago.

This is a very helpful thread. Thank you so much for making it! I can't say I completely understand why rarity status really needs to change, but I'm still very grateful that this thread is here to help people like me; it's helped me understand this site a bit more. Keep up the good work! ^^

Because rarity is the number of pets in circulation compared to the number of users.
Obviously, once a pet is no longer available, there will be more and more users compared to that same number of that pet ingame, and it will automatically become less common because of it.
Not to mention more and more of that pet are bound to end up on inactive accounts as more time passes by, meaning there are less of that pet in circulation too.

I cant wait to see the rarity of the summer event pets in the next update.

No we haven't.
We still have pets from June with no rarities.

I think they held off through the month of July because of the event.

Would be nice to have one now though before the Halloween event starts in a little while.
