I have a theory. It's probably not right, but I have a theory xD

Deafness in dogs is usually linked to dogs with white coats and blue eyes. This dog doesn't have blue eyes, but purple isn't a real dog eye colour so I don't think it matters XD When the hint said she doubts her dog is listening, it may literally mean the dog may not be able to hear. That and it's a pixel, but metaphorically. XD

Now that you say that, the blue eye and white coat = deaf applies to cats too so her cat might be deaf... So I think it's the pup with blue eyes and wispy yellow tail and collar fur.

The hint doesn't say it CAN'T hear though, it says it probably isn't hearing...it's not paying attention, for some reason? Looking out for false prophets, too busy with that? Lol idek

I think this pup might be Jadeghost's. To be honest, the roses and the hearts just make me think Romeo and Juliet.

"Look to poetry."

Romeo and Juliet is a poem, or at least poetically phrased, even though it's a play.

"Red and blue, three and two."

Red is the Capulets and blue is the Montagues. As for the three and two... It could be the act and the scene, I guess? That one I'm guessing a little bit.

"My personal interests have something to do with this dog."

Jadeghost likes reading and writing, right? It wouldn't surprise me if she liked poetry/Shakespeare too. ^.^

This could all be completely crazy, but I'd like to hear some opinions. Or even better, if Jadeghost could confirm/deny this! c:

I like this theory. I a while ago pondered about this pet being Jadeghost and she's commented on my theory, but neither confirmed/nor denied the pet. This analyzation seems better.

Darn. This pup reminded me so much of their style too. Must suspect more pups and who drew them.
