You are correct, it just changed. I had one in my Common group that I had just updated last rarity update, so it definitely just changed this time.

The cat WAS rare before the rarity system changed, but it was uncommon since.
The rest wasn't rare, only littermates
Maybe you're thinking about them.

The cat was definitely uncommon, this update it turned rare, the blue betta fish turn rare this update too, the Malk wolf I'm not sure, I'm confused by its littermates, the PPS horse turned rare this update too.
