I can't speak for the others, but here's my method:

1. Open the Pound's adoptions group (here) and change the page display to the total number of pets in there, so I can see them all on one page.

2. Using the CS Helper browser addon, pull the numbers from there. I personally find it easier to subtract the smaller numbers from the total to get the "Uncommons and under" but you can just add those up on their own too, math is flexible like that!

3. Skim the page for store pets. (This is a lot easier with fewer rare+ pets now!) After doing it for a few months you start to recognize stores on sight and don't even need to see the rarity tag.

4. Throw all the numbers in the spreadsheet. I set it up to autocalculate percentages, so I just copy those percentages into the post.

5. Check to see if someone else has beaten me to the punch before posting :P

Because most store pets are either Very Rare (which the Pound is out of) or Extremely Rare (of which only a couple are in any given Pound opening). The chances of stores showing up is currently very low.

I’d be interested to know what amount/percentage of VRs is required to be in the main group before the pound is considered to be well stocked enough for them to be included in the adoption pools again. It’s been long enough since the ‘no VRs’ announcement for at least some banned accounts to have been cleared/people to have donated (seen a few people on the forums mention that they have + I had a couple sent the other day from my previous account that I no longer had access to so I know there’s at least my two in there.) Maybe once the rarity distributions of the pets in the pound is roughly in line with the percentages of each rarity across the whole site?

I know there’s probably no way of knowing for sure, just curious if anyone else has any thoughts.

wow, front page shoutout much! welcome to everyone who's posted and thank you to simon for the clarification on the vr issue. it didn't make much sense for there to be 10x the vr pets in pounds compared to er, and for there to be half as many vr pets compared to rares... glad it's getting adjusted!

there are definitely at least a couple of users that seem suspicious just from the ones that i've noticed and their pound adoption habits (and a disproportionately high r/vr/er quantity of pound pets as well...) i'd definitely be all for additional verification at adoption for pound claims.
