Man I feel like a super oldie xD I was the 322nd user to sign up on CS. My first pet was I believe the Spotted Tribal... or maybe it was a Blue Sorbet? Either way, I was so excited when I could keep my pets in one place instead of having to save codes ^_^

god how i miss the old chickensmoothie i rember when nightassain showed me this site i was like awe its sooo cute lol now i wish i could have joined sooner and gotten some of the other wonderful pets i missed but i still love it i rember when the rainbow main came out i tryed everything to get one and it took me 2 years to finally get ahold of one and i wound up giveing it away to someone for next to nothing because it was there dream pet

i rember how slow cs used to be it took ages to load all the pets when you had big groups and tradeing was almost a nightmare lol

my first pet was the 08 butterfly wolfs you know the pretty ones lol
i was dumb when i first joined though and only adopted one of each outcome i didnt know you could get diffrent pets if you adopted more then i got scamed out of all the pets i adopted lol

i miss old cs tradeing was so much easyer

Two days ago, I was contacted by a newbie who just wanted to say hello. They made a comment about 2008 members having a "reputation" on CS as being mean and snobby. Since I'm a 2008 member, but relatively inactive outside the Trade forum, this was shocking & I wanted to investigate! Saw lots of terrible things in the Trade Rants, etc. and then stumbled onto this chat.

Nice to see so many "oldies" out there! I'm definitely feeling old right now. Haha. It's funny reading some posts and being like - "Yeah, I remember that!" about the old CS. One of my most embarrassing newbie mistakes was actually DELETING duplicate pets. I know, what was I thinking? *face palm*

Anywho, hope y'all are having a wonderful holiday season!

Does anyone else remember how bwolves were the least wantes species as there was only one no-adoption-limit
litter available? I still recall those "I'm not interested in any Butterfly Wolves nor 2nd gens"s signs slapped onto trade threads. xD Can't believe so many of them have turned rare already... -nostalgic-

OMG this. I remember those 2nd-gen projects with slogans: "don't delete your 2nd-gens, give them away!". Only hoarders wanted them.

Hoarding wasn't even a thing until early 09.
Tess had at one point said something about the number of CS pets in existence and how badly it was lagging the server so many people went out and deleted all their duplicates. XD I don't think anyone had even considered hoarding back then because why have doubles? It was just unfathomable back then.

There were a few people back then who offered to take all unwanted [insert species here], but yeah, if you look at it from a hoarding perspective it was more like passive hoarding. People just asked for others to send them the wanted pets and went with what they got. Can't remember anyone actively looking for them.
But it was comparable to hoarding^^

I hate that newbies would think that ):
I think the reason is that some members are blunt, which could come off as mean or rude x3
I think I was the 255th member!
