That's still in question, but a lot of people believe it's some form of raptor.
Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me, as we've had Gryphons/Griffins done before, but i'm still set on the gryphon, due to the below reasons.

Based off what we can see so far;
The pet has the talons of an eagle.[three in front, one in the back-not visible on the pet atm]
The pet has the clawed beak of an eagle.
The pet has the tail that tends to represent a lion.
The pet has feathers in some place on it's body, based on the feather underneath the egg.


Raptors however;
Don't tend to have curved eagle-like beaks, but rather mouths that can split open wide enough that they can get a clamp on their prey.
They also tend to have thicker tails that eventually become smaller, unlike how we see it in the pet.
Also, from what I can gather, the pet doesn't have a very long neck, and that's exactly what raptors have, and gryphon's don't.

Who nows, though? We'll just have to wait and see.

I don't know where people got the raptor idea from, this pet doesn't look like it.

And people try to say "we've done griffons before and they looked nothing like that."
Guys, there was no growth for the griffons. We got them fully grown.

The beak and claws look the same.

I have to agree, I don't see a raptor of any sort in the pup growth. But then again, I might be completely wrong. Just my honest feeling, I never even considered it to be a raptor before I saw people here discussing it.

You guys are SO CLOSE to seeing the other meaning that applies to him more. Someone even linked to the right meaning/a page with it, but glazed over the one I was talking about.

I still don't consider it, but if it grows to another stage before growing into an adult, it may help identify it better.

I still think it is a dragon, raptor .the snout does not look Griffin ore is it a , brand new Species . A Mutant ???

Take a look at the meaning of Seinn - not only does it mean late or slow, but song or singing - like a bird, right? A late bird. A bird taking it's time. Dinosaurs are the ancestors of birds, theoretically, so if that pup is a feathery dino it could mean just that - a bird taking it's time to evolve from a dinosaur, something along the lines of archaeopteryx maybe. The dinosaur-ish pup sounds more likely to me, based off the name.

If it's not play, is the other meaning slow? I did a google translate of seinn and it said slow as well. Or it could be past... So many options xD
